Honestly, I think even the non-player character deaths are gonna hit hard. Not just in terms of storytelling but also visuals. The mass of fur and flesh sitting on the table in the camera's corner at 1:33 has me . . . concerned.
Someone will die. I'm gonna buy tissues right now and schedule some PTO for late october.

Yeah, Neverafter honestly ruined me emotionally, and this somehow feels even more sobering and precious than that season. Something tells me there will be no returning from character deaths, a la ACOC.
@@NKULTRA94 ACOC was the first time I realized how much D20 could affect me. If those types of consequences are applied to little animals, I'm in a lot of trouble.

Looks a little more Niel Hancock's "Dragon Winter" than Watership Down to me.

I mean, the campaign is long since in the can, like, pre-strikes long, so whatever is going to be done to them/us, it was written indelibly in the stars long ago...
Its rare for me to cry at a D20 series, but Rashawn's raw sadness in this trailer had me bawling. Can't wait for this nostalgia trip down 'Watership down x Once Upon a Forest' Lane

Yeah, that one small clip was like Emily Axford level of emotional investment. I'm so excited to see what Rashawn and Jasper both bring to the table with our other veterans.
It feels like a story of innocence being taken and fought for.

As a Brit this hits so hard on many emotional strings: watership down, animals of farthing wood and Redwall Abbey.
I mean, we had Redwall in the States, too. My favorite was Outcast of Redwall, where they adopted a baby ferret into the Abbey.
ANIMALS OF FARTHING WOOD IS SO UNDERRATED.
I cried so much at all the fcking deaths. I still have a core memory of the male pheasant seeing his female roasted, and the couple of hedgehog paralyzed by fear in the middle of the highway...
This season might honestly be one of the greatest ones, especially emotionally.
I was also thinking of Animals of Farthing Wood while watching the trailer, but I hope it's not like that. I don't think adult me could handle it as well as younger me did!
I was also thinking of Secrets of NIMH.
It is gonna hit in the hole Richard Adams left in my soul. Also, fun fact, reading that book was like a walk through the area I grew up. Which made it hit even more.
This cast is excellent! I don’t think we’ve seen Siobhan and Brennan play together before? I know we’re all hyped for Izzy and Brennan but Siobhan always goes the hardest of the IHs when they tell him to eat his dice!

@@SilverScribe85 They're definitely still with the crew, they were on the latest episode of Dirty Laundry. They just haven't been in a D20 season recently, but we should be getting another Intrepid Heroes season at the end of the year.

@@1hanagimayeah I’ve seen it. The cast made that one good in spite of the DM, in my opinion. Same as Exandria Unlimited, although that one was almost incoherent as a story. Fey and Flowers, as well. Maybe this will be different, idk. I’ll watch it because this cast looks awesome.
Aabria breaking the record for how fast one of her campaigns makes me Feel So Many Emotions. As a huge Watership Down and Redwall fan (in childhood and today) this was tailor made to destroy my mind and heart. I'm so here for it.
On a sliding scale from Peter Rabbit to Watership Down, I wonder how this season is going to go.

I know stoats aren't ferrets, but this makes me miss my fur babies. I'm gonna get way too emotionally attached to this season.

All weasels are great, be they ferret or stoat, mink or skunk, anything under that umbrella. I came to the comments just to see who else is excited to see the players play as weasels, so I'm glad I found this comment.
I also miss my ferrets. They stole my socks, they stole my snacks, but mostly... they stole my heart.
@@eliasmolck5566 I got to hold a pet skunk before! He was a sweet little guy full of love. My Nana worked at a park office, so I was lucky to see a lot of wonderful wildlife from the campers' pets to the sweet wildlife she helped care for. Her favorite was a garden snake she named O'Leery until she learned "he" was a she, and she promptly changed the name to Miss O'Leery. 😆 She's why I have such a passion for all animals, and I miss her to death. She loved adventure too. I'm she would have adored Dimension 20. 🥰
Watership Down, Secret of NIMH, all these gritty yet heartwarming stories wrapped into a TTRPG campaign with some of the best of the best players and GMs. cant wait to cry.

Same, I only know Jasper from Three Black Halflings podcast and have not seen him in a filmed live-play like D20 or similar yet. So, I'm glad to see D20 bringing him over the pond for some high-stakes, high investment RP.

I am NOT counting on the optimistic way this trailer ends to be true to the actual ending of this season 😂 Aabria knows the way to our hearts, and she is ready to tear it into shreds... for our greatest delight unfortunately.

The piano alone convinced me that this season of Dimension 20 was going to *wreck* me completely, and I'm so ready for it! It's so pretty and I'm excited to see what is in store for us! (Note, not that the *everything else* of the trailer didn't do a wonderful job. I just wanted to give a special props to the piano since I enjoyed it so much, myself)

Brennan, Izzie, and Erika together at one table is gonna be beautifully chaotic and I can't wait. Last time this happened was the seven, one of the best seasons we've ever gotten, and unless I'm wrong, I think this is the first season of D20 where Brennan and Izzie are together as players.

This takes me back... It makes me think of a book I read when I was a kid called Thunder Oak. It was about adventuring stoats tool. Watership Down vibes as well. Nostalgia is strong with this one! I'm excited for this campaign and the awesome DM and players! 🤩

I am not even finished with Episode two and I already in awe of this season. It is fun and exciting and hilarious and beautiful and deeply disturbing. This is, truly, something special.

I just wanna say this after watching what episodes are currently available for Burrow's end.
Like everything Dimension 20 does, I always wonder if what they roleplay, if I'm going to be able to get into it.
And then literally they just blow my mind every time. This has had me on the edge of my seat, and in love... and also disgusted. Dropout subscription is 100% Worth it. I watch everything on there. Get it. Watch this, and never regret.

Aabria DMing is a gift. The people at this table I recognize are such a gifted group of storytellers, and I'm excited to see what the players I don't recognize bring to the table. I will be picking up a giant pack of kleenex before this season, though...

*whispers* It's worth it. Seriously, I joined for Dungeons & Drag Queens and Mentopolis, and not only are the other seasons of Dimension 20 binge-worthy, I also adore Game Changer, Make Some Noise, Um, Actually, and Dirty Laundry. There's a lot of great content.

Omg guys, watched 1st ep of Adventuring party and I was shocked! SHOCKED I tell ya, to see how much of Watership Down you all remembered. I'm sitting and listening about all these scenes you all remember going, "oh yeah..." because any person who has seen it as a kid, rightfully blocks it out! "learned the language", Brennan? Not many could have the heart. Amazingly, I ALMOST wanted to rewatch it. I felt a little like Izzy Roland, like...what was that movie about....but then thanks to your memories I know it was about pain....all kinds of messed up pain (for rabbits). You want to know the movie I replaced it with in my head because it doesn't make me cry to watch (or give me nightmares), 'The Fantastic Mr. Fox'. Nothing [in it] to break your soul.
I think now with 'Burrow's End', people will be able to replace their 'Watership Down' memories with you guys! Looking forward to more eps!
