- This is a quote interpretation to a GAMSAT Section 2 prompt set created by 90plusgamsat on cancel culture:
1. There are risks to shutting down opinions we disgaree with
2. cancel culture is a beneficial and necessary part of modern media - it encourages accountability and growth for those who are called out.
3. we must push back against push back - when only one view is allowed it promotes not critical enquiry, but orthodoxy.
4. being consistently outraged by opposing viewpoints provides a ready reason not to consider them.

I have written essays for students in group classes many times before but I don't find it the highest yield thing to do for two main reasons:
1. I know I can write essays and so do you but that doesn't help you per se (versus me showing you how to do it for yourself)
2. It distracts students from what they should be doing, which is understanding the basics and the single thing in front of them that needs to be done, and sets it on fancy flourishes. Typically students start trying to write in the ways they perceive are responsible for the high score (which almost always, aren't correct). I don't want you to write like I do, I want you to fix the single thing that is holding you back which, unless you're currently scoring 89, won't be what I'm doing at 91
Regarding books, I don't typically recommend that as the highest yield place to get info for s2. See these videos and blogs for more:
