- Life’s hard. If you want an easy job go and work in a chicken shop. But then you get the later kind of hard: the hard of lacking purpose and fulfilment and meaning in your life (unless you love making chicken, in which case by all means). Or, you can choose the hard now: to willingly accept the perseverance, the set back, the difficulty, the worry. Life on Earth is seasonal: It’s not always summer. You need to stand through the barrenness of winter, ploughing the fields and sowing the seeds (spending time, money, effort - sacrificing), the get the harvest in spring and the glory of summer. Set back and delay IS part of the cycle. The tree doesn’t cry during winter. It drops the dead leaves when it’s time and waits, KNOWING its time will come.
Life’s not about what happens to you, it’s about what you do about it.

This video is exactly what I needed! The comparing to others, the obsession with woe is me is all just bullshit. The only failing or setbacks are the one's that you tell yourself you are having.
