You are very lucky your chairs don’t have any issues. I have had four of the Tuscany for about the same timeframe. They came to me with the silver tray insert buttons on the arms not level. When I put the trays in they are at a severe slope. Drinks are at a risk of falling off. The LED lights on two of the chairs have gone out. The controls on one has gone out. The bottom of the compartment in the arms has fallen out on two of them. I have not contacted Valencia yet. I’ve heard online their customer service is horrible. Not sure I would pay the premium they charge for theater seats again. I could have paid less for the same issues.
Excellent review. Extra bonus is that your body shape is similar to mine (not svelte) so I appreciate your comments on motor wear and tear.
For the ridiculous price tag, are these able to have their cushions re-stuffed? Or are they cheaply stapled shut with no zipper to access the filling?
Love the look of Valencia chairs & considering 6 for a theater room l am building. However I am Leery of this product because I continue to hear some reviews on the controllers going out & the workmanship below par. If they’re great chairs I am happy for you, hopefully you didn’t get your chairs free from Valencia. That would no doubt slant anyone’s review.
I can only fit 3 seats in my room. I like the 1-seat +2 loveseat option configuration, but thought it would be cool if one could later convert the loveseat to have an armrest console and vice versa. Valencia said it was not possible as the armrests are built in as a whole with the base seat. I don't know of another manufacturer that offers this type of conversion.

Has anyone ordered through them and got half your order from one freight company and half from another? They are stating they sometimes ship different parts of the couch from different locations at different times. Just want to know if anyone has had that experience with them or something similar. How do you turn off the LED lights? How easy/practical is to turn them off?
Just double press the H button.
I bought a sofa and love seat from Valencia a few years ago. They are similar to the ones in this video. Out of 4 control panels, 3 of them stopped functioning. One stopped working within a few months and i replaced it. Valencia sent the first replacement panel free of charge. Then shortly afterwards, BOTH panels on the love seat stopped working, and Valencia is asking $100 each for replacement panels. Overall, I'm not at all impressed with the sofas, especially for the high price. I ordered mine with the top-of the line leather, but I don't see or feel any difference in quality from any other sofa leather. I'm beginning to think maybe it isn't the top grade leather after all. The fit and build quality are less than average. You can feel hard lumps in one of the sofa seat cushions. One of the seats is also tilted at a slight but noticeable angle. The overall workmanship is just not very good. You would do better to just go to your local furniture store for a similar item at a fraction of the price instead of spending extra money on having it "custom made" by Valencia.
You aren't alone. after 2 years one of my four stopped reclining. After calling them and finding out they wanted $110 for a new controller, I waited a while and it started reclining again.... 6 months later 3 of the 4 stopped lighting up and the USB ports are also dead. In this time, I have not moved any of the seats (except to recline) or messed with any of the cabling. I am getting ready to move and will sell this crap and buy a different brand for the new house.

One of my control panels went out after 3 years and I only use the chairs once a month. I was expecting it to last longer.
Wish they would make a decent tray table, one that extends further so you can still use the tray and cup holder easily…. Jaymar has a great wood one they should copy.
Yes, the table hits my drink which is a bad design.
I have heard these chairs have a lot of issues and customer service from valencia are terrible esp if you have any issues with power adujustments/led
I can only speak from my own experience. My experience with Valencia has been incredible. I have owned 3 different sets of their chairs and haven't even had so much as an LED light burn out. Everything has worked flawlessly even after multiple years of use.

Did you ever try laying down horizontally across the Tuscany edition? I'd love some feedback on the comfort for that position. I take naps every day and I'm worried about the slight bumps in the model across the seats. The Oslo model would be my next choice as it looks perfect for naps since they're flatter.
Sorry I never lay down horizontally on it, I just recline all the way if I want to get really comfy. I do imagine the contoured seating wouldn't be the most comfortable when laying on it.
Not comfortable to lay across. If you need to do this get a chaise lounger.
What’s the difference between the luxury and the ultimate?

I saw an add on device that will add sub woofers and hydraulics to home theatre chairs. Is that an option with these chairs ?
I'm not sure. The best thing to do would be to contact Valencia. I believe that Valencia offers some transducers to add to these chairs...not sure about actual hydraulics though.

My chair does not have the memory setting.
I have 3 Tuscany & lots of issues after 2 years. Wish I never bought them.
Lumbar is terrible. Very uncomfortable. Basically a wood bar. Had to remove it.
Recliner motor failed.
They use cheap stuffing for the back support. Entirely sagged in now.
Control panel burnt out so LED/USB stopped working.
They don't use real nappa leather everywhere. Sides of the arm rest is fake PU leather. After a few years it started cracking/flaking off.
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I can assure you that isn't the norm. I have several friends with Valencia chairs much older than mine, and they are still working flawlessly.

I had bought a set of four of the Puccini reclining theater seats still expensive ! The top coating around the armrest edges came off within the first couple months in small areas ! Also, the back rest now about a year later, it’s starting to lose its shape and it’s sunk in a little more than I like ( hurting my back ) after long sessions i’ve got cheaper sofas, holding shape better ! The frames feel very well-built but what good is it if a year down the road it hurts your back when sitting down for movie time.
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with your seats. I have never heard of Puccini, I'm assuming that a different brand name of home theater chairs?

Headrest is too big. Reflects and block the sound.

LED (and motor) should be matter/Hue supported

That's the difficult thing, do you have a functional/comfortable headrest, or do you prioritize sound? BUT, the headrest doesn't block the sound if you recline, that's my compromise haha.
Valencia actually does offer preinstalled bass shakers in their chairs. I like you idea of having the chairs remote controlled or even voice controlled, would be awesome to have Alexa/Google support. Heat and massage would also be awesome!

well, they manage to find an excellent solution for the headrest in cars. It might look simpler, but it opens up around your ears and there is less reflective surface. For us audiophiles... 😂😂
@haknys That's a great idea, just alter the headrest shape to accommodate. They should absolutely do that.
How do these compare to the Verona chairs you had? Considering both models…
@@kamac1980 These are quite a bit nicer and feel more well built. Not to mention the Verona I had, only had power recline and no power headrest or lumbar. These Ultimate Luxury chairs are better in every way except the price lol.
Thanks for the review. My wife and I are thinking about ordering these for our theatre. We are concerned about ordering $8500 in seats before seeing them in person. We are in Edmonton, Alberta and no one seems to carry them in their shops.
I have had the ultimate seats for over a year now. Very nice seats. Never spent so much on seats before but worth it to me. Ordered what was in stock and arrived very quickly (US)
Btw I am of average height (5'10"). I think taller people find them a bit more uncomfortable according to online posts. For me and my family it was fine.

What base shaker are you using? I hear there’s a kit but don’t see it in the accessories.
I am using Crowson transducers. Contact Valencia, I believe they are using Dbox shakers.
I have the Ultimate Luxury seats, for 14 months now, they are great. I have a rule: no drinks (other than water bottle) and no food at all (including no popcorn) in my movie room. I also put a small black towel on headreet to protect against sweat and oil from oily hair. Seats look like new. Yeah everyone complained about no popcorn in the movie room but i put my foot down on this topic and seats look mint and room is clean. Spent $6000 on the seats so yeah keep those sugary drinks and buttery popcorn out of the room!
haha those are some solid rules. I am a little softer and allow them to have snacks down their, but I have the same drink rule.
