That is Nappa 20K one the ones you got. Nappa 11K is on the lower end regular version. That is little bit harder and shiny. Regular version also doesn't come with memory recline.
One thing I wish about Valencia I wish the LEDs pointed towards the floor rather than at the TV but yeh you can turn them off ... Just a little gripe really (first world problems) haha but all in all great chairs 👍
Viewers be aware!! Valencia charges $300 per chair when you return. I had to return 3 Oslo XL, because they were just so uncomfortable, way to stiff on the lumbar area.
I have my home theater downstairs in my man cave. I got 2 theater seats a few years ago and absolutely love them. So comfortable and beautiful. I don't have enough room for a sectional anyway. But do have a couch on the side for extra seats.
Thing I love about Oslo is the head rest when reclining how you can raise it so ya watching telly still instead of the ceiling all comfy and roasty toasty haha 👍 ... Cool vid man! Cheers 🍺 .. Ed
The Tuscany XL would have been a better fit for your height although it may still fall a bit short. We have a row of 4 of them (loveseat center) and our family is happy with them. My wife is 5' 2" and she has no complaints. They are probably overpriced for what they are, but it's tough to find a good alternative.
I wish the manufactures of these theater seats . Will move the controls to the top of the chair or in the top of the cup holder as a few manufacturers do because where they are is not user-friendly right next to your thigh it should be on top of the chair.
@@ThaVillaMan just up the middle of chair Keep ur bottom and back warm in winter from sticking in the summer lol. Enjoyed your valencia review! As for youngsters, its the oil used to make popcorn that has been an issue. I have fabric covered theatre seats, so from time to time I have to get the upholstery shampoo machine to get the oil out of the fabric. Leather should just wipe off or maybe might permanently stain?
I have had the Valencia sofa without the arm in the middle for some time. We are extremely satisfied! I have a few videos out with them in the room if you're intrested in how they look.
I have the non-ultimate versions of the oslo's from 2019 and 2023. The leather has significantly improved from 2019 to 2023. the 2023 models are completely silent. You get no leather farting sounds anymore and are so soft. The motors on them are also a lot more silent then the 2019 models.
Hey VillaMan! I'm 6'4 too, these are not the XL right? Do you feel any pressure on your shoulders? I watched another review of a guy who was 6'7 and he could not recline and use the headrest due to them digging into his shoulder not supporting his head.
No these aren’t the XL. I had no issues with how my body fit into it in the reclined position. My head reached the headrest just fine and didn’t create any stress on my shoulders or back
Their warranty is crap. Never heard of a 3 year prorated warranty where after 1 year they do not cover 100% of the costs. For such a short duration, you would expect a company to have confidence in their products.
Yup, it’s a trade off. Unless you have high enough ceilings to elevate them above the seats and still have adequate separation between them and the in-ceiling speakers
These are currently price prohibitive for me(Someday). I'm the 4th owner of a lazyboy from 2009. Its showing it age but still very comfortable. I let the wife and kids pick from a ton of inexpensive manual recliners from Amazon. They've been happy for a couple years now. I don't fit in any of them. For a long time I've considered it a win when I actually finish a movie. Usually missing the last 15-30 minutes only to awake to the credits rolling.
Oh boy do I know how that goes. I have a 96" Lazy Boy couch and too often when I'm watching something, especially on TV, I look up and realize that I just missed 20 minutes of the show or movie. Thank goodness for Rewind on the DVR. 😄. With movies on disc, it's less of an issue, one of the benefits of cranking up the HT audio system although with non-action dramas, I may slip into the snoozing zone. Again the rewind button is your friend. The moral of this story is: It sucks to get old.
I have regular leather recliners and yes if Im tired I wake up for the film credits. Im throwing them out for a straight back old wooden kitchen chair. My back and ass will hurt but I will see the ending of most films
Valencia is very very good at social media. Every single video online is of a chair they sent to a reviewer for free. With all the recent problems being reported on AVS Forums, I can't trust any of these.
I love my home theater seating, however, as a short male (5'8), my feet do not touch the ground when I sit back into the seat. Even friends of 5'10 don't fully touch. If your home theater is doing double duty as is mine (I have the 3 seat couch version with folding center), you might be better off getting a regular living room couch that has a power reclining feature. You'll lose all the bells and whistles, but it may be a better fit. That being said, I wouldn't trade mine, so screw the non movie watching visitors- it's my house and there's no reason for them to stay long anyway. Lol
I think im the only person who finds these uncomfortable.. mines the top grain nappa , and i can feel the metal through the cushion in the back support part of the seat.
I bought a sofa and love seat from Valencia a few years ago. They are similar to the ones in this video. Out of 4 control panels, 3 of them stopped functioning. One stopped working within a few months and i replaced it. Valencia sent the first replacement panel free of charge. Then shortly afterwards, BOTH panels on the love seat stopped working, and Valencia is asking $100 each for replacement panels. Overall, I'm not at all impressed with the sofas, especially for the high price. I ordered mine with the top-of the line leather, but I don't see or feel any difference in quality from any other sofa leather. I'm beginning to think maybe it isn't the top grade leather after all. The fit and build quality are less than average. You can feel hard lumps in one of the sofa seat cushions. One of the seats is also tilted at a slight but noticeable angle. The overall workmanship is just not very good. You would do better to just go to your local furniture store for a similar item at a fraction of the price instead of spending extra money on having it "custom made" by Valencia.
They are a bunch of junk. Out of 4 chairs, they all broke within 1 year. But they look good. Service sucks two. They sent me new parts (I had to pay for them) and they were used, in open bags missing the trim pieces. The parts didn't work either. The chairs were also damaged when they were delivered. They replaced 1 chair, but it took months to get it. I still have 4 broken chairs!!
👋🏾 I didn’t mention it in the video, but there at 16 colors to chose from.

Maybe. I don’t need as much width, just come extra height. But these fit pretty well, so it works
The sectional look looks more comfy!!!!!😊

I would love to have some of those in my home theater room.
I actually have a sectional, but the pillows on it are pretty tall, so I get that neck support, the only thing I would REALLY want is the armoire lol
Ahh l, good for you! That said, I don’t think Valencia has many armoires lol
You should try the XL

I haven’t had any popcorn oils, just greasy fingers which get wiped away easily
Depending on age . . . wait for the spilled milk, pop, greasy potato chips etc. So much fun! 🤪🙃
Is it possible to remove the armrest console from the Valencia and convert the two seats into a loveseat?
how do you think the loveseat version of it is. without a armrest in the middle
I can’t imagine it would be much different. Maybe just a bit narrower, with the armrest removed
I have had the Valencia sofa without the arm in the middle for some time. We are extremely satisfied! I have a few videos out with them in the room if you're intrested in how they look.

You can now also order an armrest insert for the sofa.

You probably don't want too much neck support; if the neck support blocks the surrounds it will have a real impact on the audio experience.
Yup, it’s a trade off. Unless you have high enough ceilings to elevate them above the seats and still have adequate separation between them and the in-ceiling speakers
A clear con that should have been mentioned was the expensive pricing. The pricing wasnt even mentioned during the full review once.
I rarely talk about prices because like most HT equipment, it varies over time

There is not a lot of separation from your side and back surrounds. May be sides are enough.
They’re not very far apart, I agree, but I had the side surrounds only for a while too and they sound much better now
