Today Daniel, and friends head offshore in search of tuna, mahi, and marlin! It did not turn out to be the best day out there but still an awesome trip and adventure!

Props to you guys for making that run with no curtains on the bridge😂
Sometimes that one bite is worth it though.

Yeah didn’t get curtains yet 😂 but luckily stayed dry!! It was worth the bite losing fish sometimes is what makes catching the big ones that much more exciting!

How’s the boat been?? I’m 25 and want to eventually buy a sport fisher/older yacht. I saw your first video and alot of people complaining about the Detroit motors. How did they end up treating you?

I love them! They are mechanical motors meaning a power failure won’t shut the motors off. They are easy enough to work on that you can watch TH-cam and figure it out vs a new motor you need special scanners ect. They sound great and parts are cheap compared to newer engines. This has the 671ti 450hp engines. I’d stay away from the 671tib 485hp engines. But overall I think they are great engines

@@SaltyBoysFishing how’s it been owning the yacht? I’m in south Florida and slip prices scare me

So I am from central Florida but live in Virginia Beach currently. I pay around 10$/ft but you would have to look around your area to get an idea of slip cost. Also have you considered living aboard? That could help your overall expenses since you wouldn’t have to pay for a house and a sportfisher

@@SaltyBoysFishing well I live at home so I don’t have to pay for a home thankfully. But the slip costs are fixed. But what are some other things I should be looking at when buying something like a 50’ sport fish?

@kilroy4123 make sure to get a survey done on it prior to buying and then do your research on certain boat years ect. The website the hull truth is a great resource to use as well as diesel pro is a great website for information on the engines. Make sure you have the time commitment to work on and maintain a large boat as it is much more work then a smaller one.
