@@thenetworkarchitectchannel Yes, and you also need to roll your "r" a bit. SoCal is a funny place. Some towns like Alhambra are completely anglicized while some towns like Duarte are pronounced like they would be in Spanish.
@@newscoulomb3705hmm that's a good point.. Interesting. Perhaps relevant that places like Alhambra have a significant immigrant Asian population with no intent to roll their r's.
Thanks for the update. How do you like your Cadillac Lyriq? Have you ever owned a Tesla? I have had my Y since 11/21. I hope all the EV's build their vehicles focused on efficiency. Does the Lyriq get over the air updates or do you have to take it back to the dealer? Yesterday I received my 12.6.1 Full Self Driving (Supervised) update and after almost four years I got to say its impressive. Have a great weekend!
We first owned a 2019 M3LR & liked it very much. We upgraded to the LYRIQ about 2yrs ago. It is not as efficient but has a much larger battery, so it evens out. I’ve heard good things bout the thirteen train of FSD. Thing r moving in the right direction. Thx for watching
Thanks Walter, glad to see oil companies getting in on EV charging. I see electricity as fuel too. These companies have the experience on fueling the world and know how to sell there products with conveniently placed convenience stores. Once America sees chargers at their local gas stations people will see ownership of a ev is possible.
Thanks Walter. Great update, especially for those of us that like to see the growth of Travel Charger locations. These TA installs looks to be as good (or even better?) than PFJ? Looks like the options are growing rapidly and range anxiety should be a thing of the past before too long. I’m curious on the Tesla V4 installs. I think I read somewhere that this is hardware being bought by BP Pulse, just like they buy the Alpitronic hardware - then managed by BP Pulse, not Tesla. Have you heard this? I’m curious if BP Pulse is deploying all of these with MagicDocks? Or if you can start the charger on the V4 cabinets with the BP Pulse app and your own adapter? Things to ponder…. Thanks again for this. The BP Pulse project has been under the radar so your spotlight is much appreciated!
@ hopefully then, as a BMW-Supercharger-in-waiting customer (like late 2025 waiting), I can charge on these without magicdocks nor Tesla approval if I have an adapter. We shall see. Waiting on build-outs near me. Exciting times!
@@thenetworkarchitectchannelthey might get integrated into the Tesla network. In the UK the CPO Ev on the Move bought and deployed Tesla V4 stalls. What’s interesting is even though they are non Tesla they show up in the Tesla navigation , the route planner will include them in navigation and interestingly Tesla perks like free supercharging credits get honored. So even though Tesla sells the hardware it looks like they will provide the backend networking.
OK, OK.... As long as this has turned into a discussion of how to say Duarte, we need to address the pronunciation of the State of Oregon. It isn't Or-e-gone, it is Or-y-gun. Hope this helps.😄
lol. So true. Gotta get on game. I pulled in a big gun for Duarte (my mother in law from PR) so I am good there. Will add the update to the PNW great state too. Hopefully I will be 100% next round. :-)
That would be great but don’t go out of your way. If you happen to be in the vicinity if you could post a photo to PlugShare I’ll grab from there in my next sweep
@thenetworkarchitectchannel I drove down to the TA in Greeneville and took a look. It appears there's eight bollards between four posts wired for electricity, no chargers installed yet, the ChargePoint charger is still active in the back though. I have pictures added
It would be a great addition. I travel from central NC to Lakeland, FL several times a year and having a another stop that is not Pooler, GA available would be appreciated. I will be trying the St. Aug location on my return trip next weekend.
Charging of all types is good. But when it comes to the big oil companies, I'm afraid it's mostly greenwashing. The few they have in the states are not working most of the time, and in the UK they are the highest priced of all when they ARE working. They are absolutely hated over there. When you bring in NEVI funds awarded to them, it's just another way for them to get further tax payer dollars on top of the trillions big oil gets in subsidies every year worldwide.
I took the photos of the Greeneville, TN location. I'm not sure if it will be BP Pulse. TN Fast Charge Network has their own branding on ChargePoint. But it's right down the road from me, so I will be keeping an eye on it. There's already a separate ChargePoint station in the same parking lot co-branded with Seven States Power Corporation, but it did not look like any construction was happening at it.
Thanks for chiming in. That location looks to have all the signitures of being one of these new builds. The number of stalls in your pictures seems right, it is on TA property, but as you say, the info seems to indicate another CPO is doing the build. Thank you for keeping us informed. It is the closest to me so if it is gonna be BP Pulse, I will want to travel there to do TH-cam videos. Those two new Weigel's are also gonna be good additions to E.TN. I was at the Pilot on I-40 in WNC just on the other side of the cut. Whenever NC DOT gets that fixed, the new EV station should be ready. The chargers were already placed and they looked to be just waiting the transformer. Stay safe. Winter commeth.
These updates for the different charging providers are coming out at a good pace. Shows the charging space is growing fast.
I would say Dwar-tay.
He he. I think I'll make an audio note for Walter in one of my upcoming videos.
Just asked my mother in law. She says the energy is in the first syllable

@Wallter Has that opening event at the Jacksonville location passed. I would be interested in popping in there if it hasn't.
Today. I think it may be invitation only though. Not sure. I’m here now in the Starbucks other side of ninety five

Thanks, Walter! Now BP Pulse just needs to keep their CC readers working.
yes, that is a bit disturbing, as you had indicated.

Very European keeping the “Pulse” name and Alpitronic equipment
Good growth! Gotta say, however, that I'm worried all these DCFC providers will be hitting the brake on their rollouts after Monday. Hope I'm wrong.
I have on good authority in the case of BP Pulse, the opposite will be true. Stay tuned.
I live in Greeneville, and although TA is about 12 miles from town, I can get you pictures, etc. Reach out if I can help!!!

Do Are Tay.. Duarte
with the emphasis on the first. I think i got it for the next time.
Thanks Walter. I will go by the new Richmond Hill spot to see how it’s going. I think that’s a great location right off 95. Thanks again.

I’ve always pronounced Duarte as “Doo-art-aay”

@thenetworkarchitectchannel I just added a picture to PlugShare of the Weigels in Morristown!
Walter, LOL. Du-r-tay. It’s Spanish. We need to get you a Spanish 1 book from local middle school. Thanks for the video as always
No need. My wife is a native speaker. I’ll just bridge her in next time. 😃
You cannon mispronounce Duarte. It is a Spanish word. Do-R-Tay
I agree with this. Doo-ar-tay
