It is going to be hard to beat EA500LM especially if you DIY nozzles or EQ or you happen to like Simgot tuning. The EA500LM has the driver to beat most, but others might be tuned closer to your preferences which is why I say play with the nozzles or EQ.
I think TDM did, didn't watch it. For me, if I am paying $600, I like perfect balance, not big bass style. I can pay less for that. My 1DD is Twilight which is more along those lines. I'll get to hear Scarlet later on when it arrives.
Actually yes it is a good starter planar as it is not too bright. As I said about it, the shell is large and I wish it was just a bit smaller, more comfortable for smaller ears.
I kinda alluded to that, in 2023, I think it is hard to justify the full retail. There is more value in a used set. I am also not that loyal to 1DD sets, I'd lean towards a hybrid or planar before pricey 1DD. Still glad I had a chance to hear it.
@@PaulWasabii me too buddy, i owned FW10000, ex1k, acoustune 1790Ti and although they does sound good the limitation of single DD does show and I can deny that myself scream for the advance of hybrid/tribrid.

I am still eyeing the ie600, do you think it's better in technicalities than the Isabellae?
Yes I think so. But like most Oriolus, the strength is the “flavor”, which is not as boring as many sets tuned to specific curves.
Yes. I have both isa and ie600. IE600 has better tech, isa has godly mids and timber
I also have both. To me, ie600 is way better. That said my Isabellae has some channel imbalance.

The tuner at Oriolus knows mids and I wouldn't even say its obvious from the graph. The driver, tuning, shell and placement are all special.

I don't think it is for bass head. It is smooth like honey but it doesn't really kick hard in the lower bass

@@PaulWasabii Why? A well tuned IEM is a well tuned IEM, regardless of it being a single DD or a crazy hybrid of DDs, BAs, planars, ESTs...
