Because skin color matters in this Country. Most of us would LOVE it if we could live our lives without the color of our skin making a difference for anything, but it does. It always has.

You asked why the documentary is pointing out his race but now you seem to acknowledge that racism exists (e.g., the color of one’s skin matters in America). If only people can change racism, isn’t’ that what documentary is about? The first 28 black congressman were republican. The list goes on. Why then, do blacks overwhelmingly vote for democrats? When LBJ and the democrats came up with the civil rights legislation in 1964. LBJ, had a very interesting quote. "I'll have them ni$$ers voting democrat for the next 200 years. That legislation had welfare in it. To get welfare back then, an adult male could not live in the house where a welfare check was sent, hence, it was the beginning of the destruction of the black family and all the bad thing that have followed because of the absence of a father living in the household.
