@20:35 We were told in the Danish army that looking down the barrel is not check for a bullet you did that in the step just before looking at the chamber, but instead its to look for foreign objects in the remainder of the barrel, "Do you see light? Yes! Thats what we want"
Looking down the barrel is to ensure that it's clean from any debris that would make the weapon malfunction or even explode when fired. So first, make sure there's no ammo, sencond, make sure the barrel is clean enough for further use. Does make sense.
You previously asked about the weapons. The Danish military adopted the Canadian Diemaco C7 and C8 (as M95 and M96. Meaning the year they entered.). We now use the Colt Canade C8 IUR (M10) :-), with different barrel lenghts. We also got the SIG SAUER P320 X-CARRY as standard sidearm, although Special Forces, weeelll can choose as they like... ;-)
It is amazing, that it is only 5 frogmen a year who made it! in 67 years. I had the honor to work together with a "retired" frogman ( 67 years) as a commercial diver. He was tougher and stronger than most people i have met half his age ( his is a skinny bastard 💪) and talk about a very caml considered and empathic person 👌 If i didn't know for sure; i would never have believed he was a frogman! His is one of these humans you never forget👌
He has not. And he is not a Frog. It is a misconception and part of a PR stunt. He was there to learn and observe. He didn't even have to do the full initial trials.
We look down the barrel to ensure that there is nothing blocking. Mudd is not a good thing to have in the barrel, and you will be surprised what you can find in guns you haven't handled for a while. Sometimes, they grease up the gun for storage, and it's just a good idea to check the barrel when you know the gun is unloaded.
The special talents are sought for. It's like the journalism education in Denmark: you don't need A-levels to get access to the education. But you have to pass THEIR entrance exam. Fine! They take in people who are not already too modelled in strickt frames. They seek to catch the special fish that often leaves a larger mark in the end.
And engaging in ensuring international seaways is of great interest to Danes. Until recently that little country for many decades had the biggest shipping company in the World. Tom Hanks' movie was filmed onboard a Maersk ship. You don't see any movie/film on a harbour without spotting the Maersk Star on containers. So don't think that Danes only throw Lego stones. ;)
My class officer, during my education for becoming an NCO, was the former NC in the corps before he went on as a UN Observer. As an aspiring frogman, he actually died during an exercise and was clinically dead for 6 minutes and still passed the curse as the only one that year. That is a man you don't say "I can't" to, or you will be tested in every measure possible.
When I served in the Danish army (10 years ago) the reason they gave us for wearing gloves during weapon cleaning is because the gun oil we used contains carcinogens. It's very good and effective at keeping the gun firing, but it's unhealthy, so gloves is the option.
This is the reason why you wear a helmet... After soldiers started using helms in the first world war, there were a huge increase in soldiers getting injured to the head. The reason? The helmet stopped them from dieyng, and has most likely saved the frogman in the videos life as well.
React to the Indian Navy telefilm please The video is in English, and goes into great details about the working and training of the navy. All of the footage is also original navy footage since the vid is official

yep
I would dare to say common sense! And i only have a hunter's licence! but a gun is a tool to maintain and respect like any other tool.

The mental part is the most important! The military part is a trade to learn like any other workmanship.
i have had coffee with som of the danish frogmen and they are cool guys
This is almost ten years old. Since then, they have whupped pirates of Nigeria as well, and been active elsewhere. Especially the last two years.

He has not. And he is not a Frog. It is a misconception and part of a PR stunt.
He was there to learn and observe. He didn't even have to do the full initial trials.

Yes, only 311 at the time of that recording was accepted as a frogman, theres only 5-6 people who complete everything and becomes frogmen (every year)
22:00 yea you're not suppose to do that, that's a big no no.
You cant go directly to SWESOF. You have to have completed basic training first. Usually you tend to have a few years of experience first
Good and sober comments, you clearly know what you talk about and are not out to be "smart", thank you

our king is a frogman
