Another mod you should do is getting ARP HeadStuds! Its a must have. I also recommend getting a good Blow off valve. Don’t cheap out on evo parts lol These cars want nothing but the good stuff
My goal in the near future is to Evo 7/8/9 swap a 8G galant on the fence of if I'm gonna AWD SWAP it as well but most likely basically make a 2G eclipse GST either way. This should be a sure fun car when done.
Seems a good combo, but why isn’t a built bottom end part of it? All that power with the boost generally late in the rev range to keep the torque low so the rods stay in the block. Genuine question as it seems to be a US thing 😂
phillysupra never said you can’t, but the torque is generally a lot lower and boost comes in later to keep the rods in the block on a stock bottom end.
Ok..so this should be the same for all 4g63t's right? I mean a 1g,2g an evo class all run the same killer engine. So same set up for my 1g should get me there or close..right?
Stock block?? Wouldn't that power destroy the block and how about the Transmission? Just asking, I'ma Honda guy but I'd love to get me a Mitsubishi since I did own a GSX 17 years ago.
Nope 500 is a walk in the park for an evo as long as the tune is right and it isn't a flyby night build. Personally I would do HD studs and a gasket though
I made 550 on a 58Mm wheel stock bottom end and head. A lot of misinformation you can get a lot out of stock parts. 62mm is overkill and way too laggy without a built setup
Hey Ramazan! It depends what kind of power you're looking to make. But I'd recommend getting on the phone with us here and we can have someone make a recommendation! 1-888-MAPERFORMANCE
Also..why does everyone keep saying well what about the block, pistons, rods, etc. What about them? If you can then sure,go for it. But I've heard that the 4g63t(its a range) 6 bolt can handle anywhere from 550 to close to 700hp on a stock block. Again, just what I keep hearing but everyone agrees that it can handle 500hp.
Number one on the list should have been a 3 inch exhaust to the turbo. Maybe you just assumed everyone would have done that already? Based on some of the comments here, maybe not.
I'm at 330 to the wheels with s2 cams on stock turbo/fuel.... @25 psi tampering down to 20ish. This is a stock 8 turbo. The 9 and 10 Turbos will go 350hp-400hp depending if e85 or 93 is used.
LAN Evo right on. 6,000 and I had a 900 whp 5.0 s550 that I beat the piss out of and it loves it. I had an evo shit was horrible. Couldn’t make power without arm and leg and always something was broken. I guess that’s the life of evo lol
500whp on stock block is pretty nasty on Evos… that’s basically the sweet spot for a street car on a light car. Not to mention some people don’t want to deal with 800whp issues, not fun when it’s not running or has a shit power band.
What do you think about this recipe for 500whp in your Evo 8/9?? Let us know down below!
will this go for evo 7
Thanks for the great info wish I could afford all that’s goodness
Awesome thanks brothas
Are the factory fuel lines safe for e85?
So you can deffo make 500whp without building the engine?
Another mod you should do is getting ARP HeadStuds! Its a must have. I also recommend getting a good Blow off valve. Don’t cheap out on evo parts lol These cars want nothing but the good stuff
Going through the comments I’ve realized people don’t know a lot about evos
So ppl are completely lost
What about the fuel upgrades for pump gas?
Awesome guys! Its funny this is along the build I am preparing for my evo8
That's so awesome! Shoot us a call if you have any questions!
I’m about to get tuned next Thursday by RRE hopefully i make 500whp on my 8.
Good luck!!

literally cams, intake, exhaust, fp red, injectors, walbro 450 and e85. thats it. ran mine like that for years 509 awhp
I think I may have a very similar setup. Do you have a channel? I would like to compare a few things.
Seems a good combo, but why isn’t a built bottom end part of it? All that power with the boost generally late in the rev range to keep the torque low so the rods stay in the block. Genuine question as it seems to be a US thing 😂
because you dont have to build the block to make 500 awhp. i know because my evo currently does it
phillysupra never said you can’t, but the torque is generally a lot lower and boost comes in later to keep the rods in the block on a stock bottom end.
@@Reece.P they torque limit the tunes to keep it together. common to do on subys also on stock block.
Awesome Video!
Thanks!
Great video! How will this recipe change if you only had access to 91 octane?
Add water methanol injection
Fp red and cams running e85! :)
bruh i just said the same shit LOL
I'm getting a longblock 2.3 tomei soon!
Whats the max power before you need to rebuild the engine cos they got to have a limit til you need to forge it
400 whp before you need an aftermarket block

700hp evo 7 here 🙋🏽♂️
would you mind listing mods? 😀
I have a evo 9 RS, Would you consider any axel upgrade ? And will 5 speed Transmission hold up the power ?
I'm an evo 8 owner. No need to upgrade the axles and yes the 5 speed handles more than the 6.
What oil is good?
Would it be worth it to step up to ID instead of FIC’s since they have injector data?
Coyote guy here, just looking around….
Can it do that with stock pistons?
What rims are those @ 6:07?
Hey, i want to ask if that t3 turbo kit have a good torque in low rpm, so i can use my in speed test or time attack ?
How much is this set up.likley to cost ??
Gonna do this to my Evo 4

SAGA EJ1 5 speed transmission is pretty strong! I run over 650 on a stock transmission, would suggest a RS rear diff though over the AYC one!

@SUPRA799 hahahaha
Stock motor on fp red BB with upgraded fuel injectors and fuel pump will do 500whp.
Does this go for 4g63s in the 1g dsms
what about engine internals ? stock would be ok with 500whp?
I’m wondering this too
I think the torque matters more and the stock internals are rated up to 400 pound feet
will this work in an eclipse gsx?

Can i do the same. Thing to my evo 5 to get 500hp?
It a 4g right???

What about the radiator ? The stock one can Handel it ?
Stock rad is fine
Dont need ecu?
Can this also apply to evo 7s?
I was asking this the hole videoo :(
Is it safe to run over 400whp on a stock block, surely my evo 4 can handle it.
Nope
On evo 8 or 9 yes on evo 4-6 no. especially a 4 if you haven't already you should swap to a 5+ I recommend an 8 tho.
I have 211,000 miles on the factory block pushing over 400whp

Of coarse you wanna do ARP studs in the head. This is a must if you plan on building any power an why not. Easily get the set for under $200.
Would like to see a vid like this about evo 1/2/3 😝
Who needs upgraded brakes or suspension when the stock can handle 500? 🤣😂 more power mods lol.
@SD Harley I know I was being sarcastic lol.
nah fr tho. The brembos are enough.
Those are rookie numbers. You gotta pump those numbers up a bit.
Don't worry! We've got another video coming soon with bigger numbers!
how much hp would cams and a turbo kit make with no tune
Try it without a tune if you wanna grenade the engine :)
is 500 whp possible on 91 pump gas?
Big turbo makes anything possible

The stock rods are weak
