@@Mandingobull that’s coming to an end soon. Latest fed requirement kicked in not long ago. All of those cash payment apps are having to report certain repeated transactions and sums over a certain amount. 😂😂The feds are like these aren’t transfers from just linking up. They hip and are slowly figuring out how to nab tax evasion offenders. And because it involves electronic funds transfer, they’ll also possibly be charged with wire fraud - especially if they’ve been at it for awhile😩😭😳
It’s a good rule. Conducting commercial operations on beaches disrupts public enjoyment and creates a spectacle. Having said that, I wonder what the loophole is for all the kayak tours and schools. I suppose the intent is to conduct business in the water, but they still congregate on the sand and distrust public enjoyment.
But the homeless doing drugs and setting up tents on the sidewalks don’t? Can you seriously feel that way about people trying to make an honest living when the city doesn’t give a crap the homeless problem I think we have bigger issues than the city worrying about “luxury picnics” make it make sense people
Jfc stop trying to inject the homeless discourse into this, they are two different topics. Also, being against luxury picnics does not automatically mean they’re ok with homeless. What floor were you dropped on as a baby
These people are insane. They’re basically picnic squatting for personal profit on city grounds. I guess it’s cheaper than buying/leasing beach front property and doing your business there.
“I just want to get paid by renting out the public beach!” 😢 Why not block out 100 free parking stalls and rent them to people for the day? If renting out sidewalk tents on AirBnb sounds wrong, this is the same thing but on sand.
Why does the picnic guy thinks he deserves it? He actually owes the tax payers from his profits.
Almost all of these picnic “businesses” only accept venmo for payment. Of course they are not paying taxes

Nah. Not “These people are insane.” /
😆 picnic squatting, ha that’s exactly what it is!

Follow the rules!!!!!!
Personal business on public property? crying about your personal finances will not help.
take it elsewhere. keep beaches clean.
Just follow the rules until you can get them changed..
You can’t have a luxury picnic but you can shoot drugs on the sidewalk, harass people, and pitch tents on sidewalks.
If you want to get away with any degree of fun just add meth to it
Not at the public beach, sorry.
Illegal Picnickers or Shoplifting Criminals - the city decides to spend resources on arresting the picnickers. WTF.
