    • @playpm
      @playpm  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, Koala already updated a proper pad hold function. This handheld is called LDK, but it's not powerful enough to emulate lots of games, try RG280v or something like RGB20, they are both great open source handhelds (only for retro gaming purpose, maybe lsdj for 8 bit music making)

    Great video! Watching this a few months late, the current version of Koala has Hold for pads now. Also, if you like ETheremin you might like Bram Bos’ Mononoke app - it’s got a similar play style and is similar to the Soma Lyra (hardware synth). Looking forward to more videos!

    Koala is one of my top 5 favorites but they gotta make it an AUV3 to allow you to use it with a mixer like AUM. I need multiple Koalas. It will allow me also to use other effects with it. I don’t like using it as an IAA. It takes up to much CPU.

    There's another way of doing the continuous loop in Koala;
    If you hold down a pad, and while holding press the one-shot button, and then release the pad and press the loop button, the sample will continue looping although the pad is untouched.
    I wrote Marek (the developer) if he could add this function as a Hold button (like on the SP), and also a way to select a loop without triggering it (for volume, pitch and pan changes while playing), and he said it's on the to-do, so hopefully we'll get it one day :)
