Great work! This is how you demonstrate looper functionality. I saw another content creator post a video demoing the new 404 updates and he totally dropped the ball on the looper. Love this!

I am not a master, just a regular guy good enough to play gtr in a band. Someone told me early on that a decent part of your practice time needs to be just ‘having fun’. For me that is usually just playing along to Spotify or radio. It’s the best advice I’ve been given musically as I am still playing for 40+ years. Sure I could have been a lot more technical … but I never would have stuck with it. You are never too old to start!

So I guess to stem out I can’t use the looper to get stems. I guess that means recording with Resample and Measure feature is the best way to get parts separate. I love the Merge Pads feature. Finally we can stack samples without having to resample a bunch or use the link pads and resample. That’s so much faster. Thank you for another great video.

Love My 555! I still use it more than my mk2 purely for the loop capture. It’s always just shy of the length of time I need. I think the 555 sounds different from my other sps too but I might be wrong. Can’t wait to get this update sorted. Thanks for all the tutorials.. I use the beefy grit pack often and love it!
Dope, glad to hear them drums are getting a work out! The limit on the mk2 is the same as the 555 so sadly no advantage there. I don’t doubt the 555 has it’s own personality / sound to it. Cheers!

With your looper and the sequencer video, it would be good to see if you found a way to quick assign the new loop to the first sequencer step (+ clear the looper for the next layer). Feels like that might be missing currently. This would make it a multitrack looper!

Sold your Kemper! You prefer the tonex over that? That’s really interesting. I’ve had some fun playing gigs with the amplitube / irig with the Slash models.
@@Nonjuror I am taking a long break from gigging, but still play and record several days a week. I am lucky to have a bit of space and so still have and use 6 small tube amps (1 to 15 watts). Kemper and Axe fx3 were both fantastic, but I still mostly use my amp tone for recording. I don’t think Tonex is better than Kemper… but I do think with pedals you can get similar results for a lot less money… at least for that slightly overdriven tone that I use a lot.
i'll be super glad if in a upcoming update, the sp 404 mkii alow us launch a sample thru headphones output only. that would be super helpful to have a clue track for introduce the sp 404 in a music band envoriment.

Thanks heaps mate! Nothing like throwing together some random jazz chords to create a vibe. Guitar is a Epiphone Goldtop Les Paul (muuuch cheaper than the real Gibson thing but this one feels and sounds great) - secret to it’s tone is it has those soap bar P90 pickups, they have a sexy vintage sound.
