The laser is amazing , you’ll find more ways to use it besides setting the pith. Did you do the mirror? If you want I can sketch up what I did for the framing of my ride-a-long seat. Just let me know
we are thinking of building a square cut log cabin, sawing our logs on our LT 35, and stacking on basic square notches. really interested in your experience
Solid logs across the top are the structure of any log wall. The old school log cabins were the same way. It’s more solid than you think. Especially with so many screws and angle iron at all openings.

Did you let the logs dry before or after sawing?

My logs were cut oversized slightly then air dried for 8-10 months. I then cut them to size and dressed them at that point.

It’s been 16 months and I’m just now putting the metal roofing on. Another 5-6 months and I should be finishing.

My cabin is 23’x30’
But all of your logs are only sitting on small wood blocks. That can't be strong and stable.
