Your mom is fortunate to have you and Stacy and your wonderful friends. This morning my husband and I were commenting we also have a wonderful son, Scott, you may not remember but you met him at the conference. He is building a homestead with us old folks while he works a full time job, part time for me in a business I own and another part time business of his own while being a single dad. Not all moms are so fortunate. God bless you all.
What a trip it was seeing Mom's cabin being built, can't wait to see the final product.
From Doug's injuries to all the blood sweat and tears , exhaustion, all you have done an amazing job, I applaud 👏👏👏👏👏👏 each and every one of you for a job well done.
I watched every video on this project. I am building the same log house from gasteneau minus the mud room. I am putting my roof metal on this week. Built the majority of it myself.

How nice it will be for the great grandkids and grand adults to say “let’s walk over to grandmas for cake.” To be able to sit down and have a chat and not have go far from dad/grandads. Great job to all involved, a massive task, a labour of love. Well done to all involved.
That's awesome! Well done everyone! My husband is a general contractor and he's renovated countless houses, both for business and our own homes. He has a Nehemiah anointing for renovation and restoration. We are living in one of the most beautiful fruits of his labor now in Southern VA. God bless you Doug and Stacy and mom!

Alot of work , thank goodness for friends. What a blessing to have some. Broken ribs are no joke....I got punched in the ribs...they may have been cracked but never went to the docter...took about a month to recover. You had 2 broken ribs ? Wow!! And you were still up and moving around doing stuff - what a hero !!! Beautiful cabin. Hope she is really enjoying it !!! Swear I seen this one already...is there a part 2? Stay Vigilant and God bless you all !!!

Was there ever a final inside tour of the cabin after it was finished? I thought I had watched all of the videos but didn’t see a complete finished walkthrough. What a project and you all did a wonderful job!
