    Mum always had an old tin can that she poured any fat into after cooking. Then she'd let it cool off and it would go out in the rubbish. These people obviously didn't.

    This is got to be the best Channel on TH-cam You've Got Mysteries from the unknown bees on flowers occasionally dogs ( I would like more dogs just saying LOL) problem solving it's great I love it!. You should wrap tape around your hose every 5 or 10 ft to give the viewers a better idea of how far you are in the hole.

    This one is your version of "Grease" lol!!!!! Bee stalking is frowned upon here in Canada, as bees have rights too. Most of our bees would have either stung you or made sure you moved one way or another. lol Love Ollie's "BONDS" undies today hahahahahahaha. Not a nice grease clog, and I expect you will be lecturing her about it. I am sooo glad that you created this channel. If it wasn't for you gents, I'd never know what blocked my kitchen drain. Unfortunately, mine was compacted for the whole length of the pipes to my main drain (btw is inside in my basement). That was about 35 ft or so. Grease, composted food bits, etc. My poor plumber ended up getting a "bath" of this crap, and smelled horrible. He did get it cleaned out for me though!! Poor man had to shower twice to get the smell off of him. Can't wait for your next video!!!!!!!!

    Beige frothy foam= grease

      Our cleanout is in our basement. After they come through chopping up and clearing all the roots we clean the floors. It's not their fault their equipment is or may be dirty any more than its my fault my drain is filled with roots. It's just life. Clean it up and be glad they didn't have to tear up the yard or floors.

      You never pour grease down a drain, if you do, use cold water. Even when dumping coffee use cold water.

    I just watched your first videos and wondered why you didn’t use that vacuum plunger gadget in the kitchen, but after seeing what ended up on the orange plate, I think I get it. If you’d done the baking soda/vinegar method how long would it have taken to clear out the pipes from the kitchen?

    I also noticed after seeing dozens of these videos the infrastructure seems to be in better shape ouotside the homes where there is no PVC than where I live. I think using the high pressure lines would cut through our pipes but I could be wrong about that.

    Personally, I'd put all those grease chunks in a large zip-lock freezer bag and show it to the homeowner and politely ask them to stop dumping grease down their sink...

    As an appliance repair guy... That dishwasher drain hose needs a loop on it. If the drain has grease that drain hose is going to get grease buildup as well. Granted Bosch doesn't have as big of a problem with that, nevertheless it needs to be done.

    Must be a rental, any home owner would throw some drain cleaner down there before calling in the professionals! Maybe I'm odd but at the minimum I would have taken the washing up out of the sink if I knew someone was coming round to check it, probably give the whole house a deep clean if I had more than an hours notice....Will need the pros in to decontaminate now after that hose has been inside!

    This is why if you dump grease down the drain once in a while dump a full kettle of boiling water down the drain. If you have plastic pipes then dump some suphuric acid down the drain and if metal a bunch of draino even without a clop for maintenance occasionally.

      Ollie can correct me if I’m wrong but I think this episode proves that fat/grease do NOT break down, which is fairly mandatory for mulch/compost

      Mechanical means is the only method to remove fats from drains, drains are designed for food and water only, with special toilet paper, restaurants etc, are required to have " Fat Traps" fitted here in the UK. Main sewers have fat Traps, and rag Traps.
