  • Hello TH-cam I'm TheRealTobobias, the video you are watching is about the Led Zeppelin's history video. I hope you like the video, you are watching part 1, watch part 2,3,4 and 5.
    Thank's for watching please leave comments, rate and suscribe. A production of TheRealTobobias.
    Enjoy one of the 70's best bands.
    Más de veinticinco años después de la disgregación de la banda en 1980, la música de Led Zeppelin continúa vendiéndose, disfruta de una amplia difusión radiofónica, y ha demostrado ser una de las bandas más influyentes en la música rock. Hasta la fecha, ha vendido más de 300 millones de álbumes en el mundo,2 incluidos 109 millones sólo en los Estados Unidos,2 y es la banda con más discos de diamante (otorgados cada 10 millones de ventas) de la historia de la música, junto a The Beatles. Los discos con esta certificación son: Box Set (10 millones), Led Zeppelin II (12 millones), Led Zeppelin IV (23 millones), Houses of the Holy (11 millones) y Physical Graffiti (15 millones).

    Considering that Plant was just a country boy, it was pretty close to a miracle that he was able to not get caught up in the insanity that seemed to follow that band, oh, and that Page is still alive.

    Part of Led Zeppelin's massive success, was because of Peter Grant. He understood how to promote concerts, so that the artists received 90% of all money. He and Led Zeppelin got along great, and they had no formal agreement, only a gentleman's agreement. Then, they did almost no interviews, a good move. Getting Robert Plant, was being in the right place at the right time.

    • @carywest9256
      @carywest9256 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jimmy Page knew how the record industry worked in the early '60s.He would not be manipulated by anyone.He and Manager Peter Grant set a standard,that the rest of the bands could soon follow.
      They would have in their contracts,artistic control.And when it came to touring,the band would take the biggest cut of ticket sales and merchandise.
      In Zeppelin's case,that meant 90% of the gate.Concert promoters were furious,but as Mgr.Grant said,10% of Led Zeppelin is better than 0% of nothing.

    The first statement by Steven Tyler (sounding like he's reading from bland script) is ludicrous! " In the 1970's Led Zeppelin was --probably-- the biggest band in the world ". Are you kidding? Led Zeppelin so thoroughly dominated '70's rock music in terms of sheer numbers and popularity that there was nobody even remotely close. For just one example, during an extended period of time in the '70's, one out of every three records that massive Atlantic Records sold...was a Led Zeppelin album.

  • @wangotango4589
    @wangotango4589 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    And if you can't name them, nobody here can decide if you are right. If they were that great, the masses would have known about them. Eddie was great in his hometown. No way would the world not known about him sooner or later. You draw the right people to you if you are an elite and soon others catch up. No way would a "great" be kept down by the "system". They would beat the system period. That's what makes them great. If someone is better than those you mention, we would know about it by now.

  • @wangotango4589
    @wangotango4589 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    No, you don't get it. I DO see your point. And that is, those players were so good that *you* didn't even bother to know who they are. You made a weak point by counterdicting yourself by not being able to name these greater players. If they were that great, at least one person (yourself) would have known who they were by name. If you didn't bother to know their names, how/why would the masses? Those guys didn't even get *your* respect. The cream rises to the top, period.

  • @imbluz
    @imbluz 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I give up. Maybe they weren't so Hot afterall. I'm no Speed metal fan, but I can appreciate a keen talent when i see it. I hate the NBA and I'm not a basketball fan, but I can appreciate athletic prowess at times. Does that help?

  • @wangotango4589
    @wangotango4589 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    You were impressed by "speed metal?" Ok, that says it all. Those "unknowns" were unknowns for a reason. By the way, I am no fan of Page or the others. Can't stand to hear them really.

  • @imbluz
    @imbluz 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don't remember names, but there was this house band i remember back in HS who played all types of Metal. Their name was 'Asylum'. The guitarist was this skinny blonde dude with hair halfway down his back. He tore up that electric Fender so good that it was even hard to follow his rapid fingers. Their music wasn't my brand, but I was impressed by the two guitarists. And I could say with confidence they had the capability to do any speed metal available and more. But they never made it big.

  • @imbluz
    @imbluz 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Stop being a fanbot for one minute. You missed my point. It all has to do with opportunity and getting that one Golden Break every aspiring musician yearns for. They are many, maybe thousands of awesome guitarists that few know about because they don't have the connections. These poor saps who I saw years ago are an example of that.

  • @imbluz
    @imbluz 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    People talk about Page, Beck and Clapton being among the best guitarists of all time. The reason for this is due to their legacy and innovative style that marked the period of their heyday. I have seen some house guitarists who are virtually unknown and could play just as well as these three, if not better. But since they never hit it big, nobody knows who they are. They are anonymous. I f you heard Joe Blow play in a show and his guitaar blew you away, 2 weeks later he'd be forgotten.

  • @wangotango4589
    @wangotango4589 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    You saw these house guitarists that impressed you so much that you thought that they were better than the greats. But they were so great you that didn't get their names? You were there, you would kow who these super players are. Tell us who they are so we can decide if you are right. You can't and you wont.

  • @wangotango4589
    @wangotango4589 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    But YOU know them by your own statement. And YOU say they are better. So let us decide if you are right or wrong by telling us who these players are that are better. Prove your point. You say you know them, so prove it. I don't believe you can. Who are they in name?

  • @imbluz
    @imbluz 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    That's my point. These guys are nobody's. And no one will remember or care to remember, because they never in a successful band.

  • @wangotango4589
    @wangotango4589 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    But if this is so, then only you can tell us who these unknowns are that are better then Page, Beck and Clapton. Nobody knows who they are? Who are they exactly?

  • @wangotango4589
    @wangotango4589 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ok, so no way are they as good as Page etc. I knew it.

    Rolling Stones, Zeppelin,Beatles and how can anyone forget BLACK SABBATH as they basically started HEAVY METAL. I love Zeppelin but I don't quite see them the same way since I found out all the songs they stole.Yes,people have pointed out that those songs may not have been CopyRight but who cares if you didn't create it then you should give credit to who did.even if they changed it and put their own sound on it.Bothers me that some bands cover songs today and Kids think they wrote them.
