back in the day we called this a fun tribute. if they made this now, I'm afraid people would call it cultural appropriaition and racist against Asians. Glad to see in the comments people still have a sense of fun and humor.
It's usually the people who are not Asian being the most "offended" whereas you don't see a gathering or social media post of "we as the Chinese community ...." because they aren't taking their time out of the day to cry about things that aren't affecting them. Nor is this making fun of someone's death specifically this skit is about the movie and acting of a character not making fun of a way someone died. And no where does it say all asian people act like this. So I don't see the correlation of "race" when this is specific to a famous actor. Because every Asian in the world is not Bruce Lee 😂 If someone made a movie being a Morgan freeman or Samuel Jackson imitating their movie lines... there's gonna be the same ignorant crowd of people who can't comprehend that celebrities are not the general population of a race. If they think someone impersonating a celebrity is "racist" they are the racist ones. Because they are making the correlation that every black person is just like Samuel Jackson or every Asian person is exactly like Bruce Lee or Jet Li or Jackie Chan....THAT is stereotypically racist if someone ASSUMES that illogical way of thinking by misinterpreting a skit.
i find it amazing that being a comedic actor he was able to perform the choreography so well. of course there was a stuntman doing the flips and all that, but the parts that he did himself were spot on. the stance was the perfect balance of urkel and lee.
