      Right. He progressed with it too. His lakai part was the best of his imo. And that was kinda late in his career. His lakai part is so much better than this part.. I just find it crazy when guys get old(for skateboarding) and still continue to get better

    I remember I was at work in the break room and ESPN skateboarding was on. Me and my coworkers were watching it but they dont know anything about skating. Eric koston messed up his trick and everyone thought he sucked. Then P-Rod came on and he landed everything so everyone thought he was good. This part was so amazing back in the day I didn't really even "get it". idk why it seems like most people like Guy's part more than Koston's part in Mouse. Koston's style was better and it's obvious. Guy prolly grinds longer but Koston's style was better and that's a fact. I think skaters just like Guy more cuz he had that bad boy edge to him and Koston was squeaky clean (which i respect. He didn’t fall into peer pressure). And also a lot of skaters hate some of the things Koston did off the board and on social media. As a result, those skaters look at Koston with a negative lens. But if skaters would just forget about all that off the board stuff for a moment and just judge the skating, it’s obvious Koston had a better style than Guy. Especially in the Mouse video cuz Koston’s style in this video was just so damn good. He was in his prime here style wise even though he did continue to progress as the years went on with the tech shit and the gnar shit.

  • @travisguide4516
    @travisguide4516 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Oh koston you have a style that works great in compeatition and in filming lines what's that secret ingredient consistency. what is nice about this part is how he uses handrails of appropriate size for how technical the tricks are. i really feel there is a niche sized handrail that ends up with people this technical and consistent like appleyard the old flip team etc.
