- Setting your body on top of the chassis during mock up is one thing, but bolting it down and archiving proper door gaps is another!
The process is truly learned by trial and error, however in this video I cover some the basic process and tips you can follow when bolting down your hot rod body for the first and hopefully the last time.

Could you give me information on your seat setup. Love it.
Sure thing… it’s a GLIDE ENGINEERING seat that I got upholstered locally… it comes with the mounting tabs already then took some c-channel and welded bungs to them then the entire c channel to the floor of the car. Does that help?
Thanks, I am having trouble with doors fitting too low.
No problem, glad it was some help
Love the content, keep it up my brown brotha! 🤙🏽
little by little, video by video we will grow !
I have a 31 full fendered Model A roadster and I want to maintain the fenders... and I have wood blocks to contend with... Do I shim under the wood blocks?
Hey Mark, admittedly I have never shimmed a Model A however I would assume that you would need additional wood shims in order to distribute the load across the entire surface. Maybe someone will read this and offer advice.
@@calirod Thanks for the response... I've been going through IronTrap Garage videos from 6 years ago and watched him working on a rough roadster and I got a good idea of what I need to do.
Very welcome, hope you got what you needed and you are all set!
Just subscribed!
Thanks for the support!
Wescott's Auto in Oregon has information on how to shim 32 roadsters
That is correct, lots of information you can review and take what is needed... I added a link to the video description. Thanks Wally!
