Which arrangement did the Boston Common and Marquis perform?
It may not have been this exact arrangement, but didn't the 1996 Champions, Marquis, sing this song as well?
@@Just_Your_Average_Guy 1995 Champs
Was that a Joe Connelly arrangement? It kind of brought me back to a quartet that saying that song, but it was a different arrangement. It was a group called arcade and that was with Jim Grant, Bob Disney I forget the tenors name but they had the best bari’s I would say at that time we’re going back in 80s, but like I said one of the best bari’s in the middle Atlantic district, you might laugh at me, but his name was Rick Taylor and I know you know him he tells some great jokes
My Daughter yelled while I was in my office. " Its Tim Tueeeessssddddaaayyyy" thank you Tim for these amazing renditions!
hahahaha! That's amazing! I love it! Thanks so much!
Two legends combine to show us why Barbershop harmony is one of the greatest musical genres. Waesche/Waurick deliver! Ed would be proud, Tim.
Couldn’t have said this any better - It really is a testament to the beauty of music as a whole.
I love barbershop harmonies!
I love how Tim makes you feel the song as he sings it he shows you that every word and expression means something. Tim is too good it's not fair 😭
I love Platinum. Excited to hear them sing this year. One of the greats. Fantastic job on this one.
Thank you!! I am so excited to hear them too!
There’s just something magical about you and Ed Waesche arrangements. Your recordings of this and Rainbow have this ethereal, Disney-like ability to paint a vivid picture and take your audience to a different world for a few brief minutes.
Actors spend what feels like a lifetime of effort perfecting the art of doing a character justice by portraying them as if they WERE them, but you just gave Waesche’s “What’ll I Do” the ability to tell a story at that level all on its own, without the audience even needing to use much imagination.
This just made my day, Tim. Well done.
I was literally working on this chart with my quartet last night. Love it so much.
Tim, you made this old man cry. That was sad but beautiful. ♥️🌹
Wow. Goosebumps almost the song. Thanks Wonderful job, as always
Oh my gosh, Tim. This touches my soul. I’ve played it repeatedly and I keep finding new delicious nuances each time. You really meant this one! Just gorgeous. ✨♥️💫
Once again proving Tim is my favorite quartet
It's always nice to see callbacks to other legendary quartets. Great choice and great job!
Thanks so much, Shawn!! 😃
Beautiful! 👏👏
If quartets were in the Olympic's, I'd give this one a PLATINUM medal! Absolutely nailed it, as always Tim!
Hooo-yeah baybeeee! Brings back great memories hearing that again! THANKS!
You physically got into that one! Spectacular!
Thank you!!
Just exquisite. Thank you, Tim, for sharing your wonderful gift with us. ❤
love love love that chord on "photograph"!!! Gives me chills every time! Love you Tim!
One of my favorite songs done exceedingly well. Bravo Tim!
Absolutely haunting and beautiful! Thanks Tim! #TIMTUESDAYS!
This will definitely be the soundtrack to my dreams tonight
One of my favorite arrangements (how often do baritones get to post a tag?) and performed flawlessly as usual. I love how you can take an arrangement that we mere mortals can perform and turn it into something beautiful.
Love this song! Thanks Tim!
I waited until nighttime to listen to this and I'm glad I did! This is lovely!
Beautiful barbershop Tim as always!
Thanks so much, Ollie!
the blend on that final chord is bonkers
maybe we could get a cover of that Mr Success arrangement the Clementones did?
Thanks so much! I'll add it to my list of tags!
So good!!! You make Barbershop sound so easy. Please sing Platinum’s version of Bye Bye Blues for the next Platinum song. I’ve been wanting you to sing that for a while but never had a reason to ask until now.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Tim! This brings back such great memories! God bless you
Bravo!!!!
Thank you!!
This was my favorite boston common song !
If I remember correctly, this was one of Boston Common’s signature songs. A beautifully arrangement of ringing chords while singing artistic interpretation…- just the way you’ve sung it here.
Thanks for the memories and, as always, a beautiful performance.
Bravo!
It seems like Boston Common actually did a different version of the same song, at least on their album. I'm pretty sure this one is originally done by PLATINUM (2000 champs), as stated in the description too.
I didn't even realise BC did this song before your comment tho, so thanks for recommending another great version! ;D
@ You’re welcome! I recognized that Platinum’s arrangement was different. Of course, whenever Tim does his 4-track performances, any arrangement sounds magnificent (most often, even better than the “original” versions). I can’t imagine Joe Connelly adding his touch to any arrangement he sings
NOT adding his touch…😉
@ Yeah, if there's any quartet who can do PLATINUM (and Joe) justice... it's Tim Fourick!
ok imma head out
Saw you in San Antonio this last weekend! Wanted to come say hi but was busy with VM stuff….maybe I’ll gather up the courage to say hello in Denver and maybe sing a tag.
Love your stuff bud!
Real ones know that 1:09 is the best part of the song
What'll I do? I'll probably come listen to this.
Baritone post, YES
Hey Tim. So your music didn't quite match the bass at 25-26. Not a enough of a music expert to tell by ear. How low did you go? Beautifully done overall! Thanks again Tim!
Sounds like he steps down to a D2!
3:24
Love this arrangement!
It's so good, so singable!!
What'll I do until next Tuesday when you drop another gem?
Watch this one on repeat? I'm looking forward to next week's video!
Ugh this rubato is great and stressful. Haha
Crazy dissonance at 1:11, almost sounds like subharmonics are being created, or maybe its just a cool blending sound.
Sorry, did I just hear a D2 in Tim's chest voice as well as an A4. Save some range for the rest of us.
