The Leica Q2 Reporter is one of the Leica's I dream of owning! I was just "handling" it at the very famous camera shop here in California, Samy's Camera a week ago. I just love everything about this camera as well as the weight of it in your hands. Its the perfect "take everywhere" with you camera -- to me. Also, I SOOOO DIG the color way. Thanks for doing this review. I learned a couple things I didn't know!!! Come on, Q2 Reporter!!! #bemine

Cool to see you wearing a Whoop:) And love my Q2! I got the Ghost Edition, but that's because the reporter was sold out. Maybe if they do another reporter edition for the M11P I'll pick it up.

Beautiful camera! I owe Leica Q2, which I like a lot. OK, so I did not take it with me on my trip to Hanoi, but Leica Q2, I still love you. And this one, Reporter’s edition, looks so cool!

Very funny. I try to visit Leica stores in any city I travel to. Haven't been to Vietnam yet so will definitely have to add this to the list. I'm going to ask if they still have the white gloves that were soiled by Mr. Mott.

Great video! I’d like your advice. I’m going to Asia end of July. I already know it’s going to be really hot and humid, I’d imagine it’s the same climate in Vietnam. Can you give me advice on how to best protect my camera (Leica TL2) from the extreme heat and humidity? My biggest concern is fungus, etc
Short-term shouldn't be a huge deal but if you are worried it's best to put them in a dry box when you can or in a room with AC or open windows.

I dirtied the branded Leica gloves touching my motorcycle so I’m on suspension for a few weeks :(
Sorry, very confused by the gloves. Is this a 5000 year old camera? Do you have a bad skin complaint? Is this the Leica Mime edition? Are gloves the next 'in' accessories to replace platted leather neck straps?😂
Steve, if you don't have your own Leica-branded gloves then you're missing out. I wear them everywhere when I shoot :).

Hmmm. Given the current state of the photojournalism market, I somehow doubt that any actual working photographers will ever get near one of these.
Yeah , it’s unfortunate, but you’re probably right.
Can you please explain what do you mean? I am curious. Does it mean photojournalists are not paid well now or there is no more pure photojournalism any more or they would choose a different camera or perhaps they would just use Reuters photos. Pls let me know. I am super curious! Or is that just all I mentioned combined?
@@streetphotoprague Cameras like this are essentially for wealthy amateurs. There’s nothing wrong with that - if people have the money to buy something like this - because they’d want to pretend to be Cartier-Bresson or Robert Capa - then good luck. But calling it the Reporter Edition implies a link to working photojournalists. And few, if any, working photojournalists today could justify paying the brand / vanity / whatever premium for a camera like this when they need working tools that can produce a return on investment.
Thanks. It makes sense. Well its same with other fields of human activity. Sports, art, manual work. Those amateurs who could spent some money tend to buy tools which provide them profesional feeling mostly because they used to be used by big names. And few proffesionals can justify to buy such tools. As you said nothing wrong with that. And I would say that true photojournalism/journalism is somehow on decline.
Consumers are not willing to pay for the time that real journalists needs to provide good quality work. On the othet hand less and less journalists want to spent time by hard work and rather sit on the chair using google and clickbait headlines. Sorry for the long answer.
