12:15 "is there any way we can overpressure this" is a question real locomotive crews asked disturbingly often, prompting the creation of increasingly more tamper-resistent safety valves ;)

The Yugoslavian Railways Class 62 was used in WW2, its a variation on the USATC S100, the one in game was modified, since it has larger drivers and a different cab

The in-game instructions are sadly lacking and you helped fill in a lot of the gaps. I was a bit worried by all the camera wobbling when you were shaking the mouse about at the start but having got past that the rest of the tutorial was great. Thanks.

It is the best guide for 0-6-0 steam locomotive I've found so far.🚂 Thank you, sir!

Thanks for making this steam tutorial, really cool how it all works in this shunter locomotive :)

If you are going downhill and not using any steam, you can let the furnace flame out to save fuel and water.

While it does save you fuel, as long as don’t let the safety pop you are not using anymore water than normal

This is the first video i watch fully out. I got that train yesterday, and it almost killed me. Now i have an idea of what i was doing wrong. Thank you😊

    Nice tutorial!
but duuuuude, what’s up with the camera shake?! Plz take it easy with mouse-camera movements

Dont be the guy who took 3 jobs, forgot the water, has to finish the job to pay back the insurance, and then blow a cylinder... Ill see if I go bankrupt or not...

Yugoslav Railways Class 62s were either ex-USATC S100s or built based off USATC S100s (I forget the exact), 4 of them are preserved outside Europe, 2 in the United Kingdom and 2 more in Canada.

Thank you! Finally figured out what I was doing wrong, I had the power and throttle levers mentally reversed

That locomotive is still *under work and property* of a bosnian-herzegovinan, i think, coal mine industry
i believe probably due to the free source of Fuel and Water the industry has, but it's slowly turning to diesel.

Good explanation for somebody who's obviously not experienced with real locomotives. Im nts how well this game/sim (im thinking of buying it to try in vr, my standards are high as i want full sim because I'm well familiar with operating actual locomotives) models its fire management but you could potentially expand further on how to actually manage steam and water levels by using damper and firehole door. As far as boiler explosions, if you run out of water it will not explode, it should drop a plug, the cardinal sin of any fireman. Overpressure explosion should be theoretically impossible without tampering with safety valves, as far as what it would actually take to explode a "modern" boiler, its probably something like 10-20 times operating pressure assuming boiler is in good condition. In the old days they did explode a bit, but they were iron(or even copper in some cases) vs steel boilers and the driver/fireman often tampered with the safety valves to try to get extra performance. I only know laws in my country (Australia) but boilers being operated outside of private operations are regularly hydrostatically tested, often to double working pressure, i imagine most developed countries have similar rules.

May be old comment, but the plug basically is more of a warning for the person to respond with the injectors, and will eventually explode due to the crown sheet failing here in game…either that or derailing and the water levels expose the crown sheet or the locomotive hits something too hard.
In terms of water management I more often than not don’t hear any weird sounds of such over how loud the steam locomotive is and usually have to rely off of staring down the water gauge and add water when it starts getting low. Exactly what happened during my first attempt to use the S060, the thing got blown up and I had to get the DE2 shunter to drag the train for the rest of the trip with a now crippled steamer.
Will say though, it was nice learning how to make use of all the valves and mechanics to get an otherwise ancient train to move.

I've never Given Myself a harder Facepalm when He called the "expansion link" a "banana piece" and the fact that He literally called the water "sight glass" a "water gauge" also one thing He forgot to mention There's a small lever to control the sand for the locomotive which You can use if the loco experiences any wheelslip.
    It's underneath the throttle

I feel like the turorials that are in the game are incomplete. They have told me how to build up power, but they have never told me how to get running and I blew up within 10 minutes after getting the license for this loco.

Yeah, I don't care much about the history. A list of stats... nice! Did you plan that sunrise reveal? Sweet! Nicely structured and everything explained, especially the Cylinder Cocks and water sloshing. One thing to smooth out the narration, you may want to consider writing a script. Much better overall. All situations covered.
