- Some cars are very common, but very rarely modified. Take the VW Jetta for example. It's a great platform with a great engine that just begs for a better intake, exhaust and some coilovers. This build has many more nice touches, like the full 3M wrap, nicely painted wheels, an intercooler, red top coil packs.

Cts turbo upgrade just came out last month. I have exactly what you have. The turbo upgrade is perfect cuz it goes with the downpipe from cts. The stage 3 tune is by unitonic as well. So it's meant to be.

Just bought a 2014 Jetta GLI edition 30 with a 6speed 2 weeks ago, and I absolutely LOVE IT. It is fully fully loaded, keyless entry and everything. I use to own a 2015 wrx (CVT) then traded it in for a 2017 pure red WRX 6spd THEN I traded that in for a 2018 CWP base model WRX with a 6spd… all my wrx’s were modified, protuned and my red one had bags and now I have the GLI AND let me tell you, I’m a subi girl but boy Volkswagen did great! Coming from a wrx, to a GLI is a huge change and absolutely love the GLI MORE than the WRX. And the GLI looks beautiful even bagged ;) better than a wrx. Plus the edition 30s are super rare to find!

Those seat cushion covers with the "carbon fiber" are not factory. Somebody at some point installed those. Same as the interior trim pieces that are carbon fiber, those are aftermarket.

I just got my first vw! A 2014 GLI edition 30 dsg automatic trans. I found a guy that specializes on VW engines last week. In the middle of a party he sees me and bust out a laptop and goes to work (For free) on my car just because it’s what’s he does. Minor things such as my gauges go all the way up and then back down at start. My Fogs and DRL stay on 24/7 even when hitting the turn signal. Or I can turn them off completely, from the extra menu he unlocked. He turned off seatbelt warning sound, as well as that SUPER FUCKEN ANNOYING “Main menu! Please say that name of the contact or BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH” 😂 I can finally whip like a boss without hitting that torture of a button. “You must be able to read german to code this” windows fully roll up and down from key fob and I believe thats it. Going stage 1 soon he afford to do it for free. As long as I buy the parts! He takes apart and puts these engines back together everyday for a living so I grew to trust him. My question now is. Where to start! Do I have to go stage 1 then 2 or can it just go straight to a faster tune? I really want to be at 300 HP min. That a 90hp gap. You think it will be doable?
@@bigbrother9242 well I’m unitronic stage 2 right now and it’s supposed to be 300hp and I wanna say like 334 ft lb tq. But yeah the needle sweep I did also along with the seatbelt light and I put the fog lights stay on with the high beams also lol. And I have cornering lights with my fogs I found out lol.
@@bigbrother9242 now when you tune the ecu you’ll have to flash the trans also which I believe is a tcu upgrade also.
