There is something heartwarming that Charlie's first reaction to winning is not trash talking or gloating but being genuinely sad that she couldnt somehow do better and avoid a fight. It would be so easy to make her a "stoic girlboss" but for me her primary character trait being her empathy is a breathe of fresh air.
It's definitely refreshing since a number of female led stories fall under the bs stereotype.

The "Great Alastor Altruis died for his friends" line is insane. The thought of his legacy being something like "died for his friends" as opposed to something like "The strongest being in hell" probably enrages him
Also the line "sorry to dissapoint, this is not how this ends" as he scrapes his nails into the panel thingy
You can really feel his self disgust in the line. I'll be shocked if Alastor isn't the ultimate big bad at the end of the series, or at least the pen-ultimate one should some bigger force be behind him.

I just noticed after a few dozen watches, that Lucifer turns that cat into the key/wand thing he uses to magic building materials into place
the new moon theater may have been rebuilt and the new hotel may have been rebuilt but the only difference is that buster moon's new theater has thrived but charlie's new hotel will deteriorate

But I can see Alastor redeeming himself in the end of it all. It's clear that he's starting to somewhat care about the hotel and the people in it (as is seen in the pre-battle party). I'm curious to see what season 2 will bring.

I think she cared about it more than she let on before because of what it does for Angel. The after Sir Pentious, she was invested.
Thats the feeling i got too. She at first didnt believe in it but saw it was helping Angel be happy and stand up for himself. Then she saw Sir Pen die and everyone fight to save Hell so she got invested fully.

It’s so sweet because now it looks like she’s willing to give the hotel a shot - not just for Pentious, but because she knows the hotel and the people there mean a lot to Angel, and we all know how much she cares for her bestie. She’s my favorite character out of the whole cast and I really want to see more of her in Season 2

Seeing Charlie blaming herself at the star of thing song is heartbreaking. After everything that happened, she still thought it was her fault for not being convincing enough. 😢
are you kidding she came up with a plan to peacefully deal with the overpopulation in hell problem but every time she tries to convince heaven with that plan it always ends up making things worse which caused heaven to reject her redemption idea not only that but she caused adam and the exorcists to move up the next extermination and attack the hotel first, she got sir pentious, dazzle and most of the cannibals killed while helping her protect the hotel and she almost got herself and the others killed while trying to protect the hotel because they suck at fighting and their weak, unskilled, untrained, uncoordinated and inexperienced, she got the hotel destroyed, she got adam killed and she never got or ever will get any other sinners to stay at the hotel because no other sinners in hell want to be redeemed, charlie is never going to convince heaven to get behind her back because heaven is a place of moral depravity and they never listen just like her father warned her about but she didn't listen because she's in denial and not to mention lute is still out there and there's no stopping her she will be coming back next season with an unstoppable new exorcist army and when she does heaven and hell are gonna go to war and charlie, vaggie, her father, her friends and the people of hell are all going to die so when will charlie learn to get it through her head she can't do this things are never going to be the way she wants them to be so i don't why she even bothers to continue pursuing her dream because all it's going to do is fail charlie's hotel and her dream are nothing but a trainwreck charlie put everyone's lives in danger because she wanted to make a difference her dream isn't going to save hell from extermination it's going to destroy it and her hotel isn't going to save sinners it's going to end up getting them killed and when that happens their blood will be on her hands

Cherri Bomb going from saying she doesn't care about Charlie's hotel to actively helping to repair it is some lovely character development for her.
My guess is its because of Sir Pentius and Angel's love for the hotel made her think about it and change her mind.

I think they greatly suspected he is alive. After all they did not see his death like with Snake
Niffty and Husk knew he was still alive (because they are tied to him by contract), plus when you see in the end they set up their radio studio as well even without him appearing
The end design of the hotel has a radio room at the top right. It seems they knew he wasn't dead somehow. Also I like that on the opposite side there is an apple room for lucifer

3:16 shoutout to the animators for these EXPRESSIONS, the fact that he's always got the same smile and yet you can see all the little nuances is so good, my god
Yeah, honestly after watching him for a while, it doesn't even register that he's smiling anymore, the subtle bumps in his smile start to subconsciously register as his actual expression.
It's really impressive work.
He is constantly smiling but they do an amazing job making you not even notice that. His emotions are very clear in the way they do his expressions.
I don’t think I’ve ever been able to even _imagine_ canon Alastor looking so shaken, unhinged, desperate, and manic all at the same time before this sequence. Sure he still has the vague shape of his normal smile, but his eyebrows creasing, upper lip curling, eyes wildly darting around, subtler yet much more frequent ear movements than have been in the entire show up till now, and of course his hands gripping his face and mussing his hair - that is a man barely hanging onto the last threads of his already questionable sanity.
And I kinda love it. Alastor’s such a cool villain. So much about him is shrouded in mystery, he’s charming enough to trick _the audience_ into thinking he can be trusted, and even at a lower power level, his sheer determined _menace_ is enough for him to still prove a threat. I knew I made a wise decision picking him as my favorite character from the pilot, and while Lucifer has almost certainly usurped that spot in the show proper, I have a feeling Al will still be a favorite villain by the show’s end. This Radio Asshole’s come a long way from the little feral gremlin deer he started as circa 2008, and I gotta say, I’m kinda proud of him 🖤📻🦌

He saw her broken and he saw what she needed, a push in the right direction. She needed hope. I like to believe that it’s here that Lucifer’s new dream is to see his daughter fulfill her dreams.

This song is relevant for me because I recently had a falling out with someone I called "friend" for 20 years. We had a conversation over a certain issue that we simply did not agree on.
