I am currently obsessed with the idea of making my project's OCs entering their own world that is likely inaccessible by reality. This collided with the fact I create way too many characters, so I set this "airbag project" I called Original Dive. In this, my characters find these little blue guys allowing them to create a personal virtual space in which they can dive in while sleeping or being generally disconnected from reality, and they feel everything with their full senses, from eyesight to touching things. Each one has a world shaped as aesthetics each one is into, things they would like to do but know damn well they can't, and interacting with them. So I think making something that they have in common can be great. In your example I can definitely see each character having their own little world shaped by the way they are, what they really like and would want, and how their passion impacts on the world. The interviews might lead to discovering characters more this way. It'd probably be a lot of work tho. Idk what you are going to do with them and I'm not a fan of realities generally speaking so I'm a bit ignorant about it. For all of this, I really liked the ideas of the buildings shaped like everyday objects. So yeah, I can definitely see that and I hope this succeeds. Basically I'm cheering for you. Also sorbet best girl
The concept of each character representing a different type of "entertainer" and a different type of artist - and even just different stages one can go through as an entertainer, is unique and quite fascinating. Add to the fact that you named them all after flavors, it is kind of perfect, as there's a saying about entertainers often being the "flavor of the month" - where they enjoy a high level of fame for a relatively brief time and then "fall out of fashion". And the ever hungry audience is off to the next new shiny or "new flavor". The entire concept behind what you're doing is very cool. It sounds like a wonderful and worthwhile project. I'm looking forward to your creations and can't wait to see what Mint & Friends will be up!
I feel like Cherry is a cat person, probably has a maincoon cat who is just the fanciest and most rich looking cat every. Also maybe since Cherry looks like he has very good fashion, they would probably try and put clothes on their cat but it would go horribly wrong. Just my thoughts! :D
A bit late, but, I recently discovered your channel and I'm very interested in this series. One idea I have is that a character named coffee, or something coffee related, works at a cafe. And if anything, STICK TO THAT FOOD THING!! I love food themed so much, so please stick to it. Also, I like to see some side characters supporting different entertainers.
I love it! The character designs are adorable, and the backgrounds look really cool! I remember you mentioned that you were working on a series, but this is the first time I've seen the concept art. Also, since my sister and I grew up in the 80s with the Strawberry Shortcake characters, I love that the characters all have food-inspired names and will have food-inspired backgrounds. I also love that, much like Strawberry Shortcake, you gave the characters distinct personalities, as well. Can't wait to see the finished product!
This video is so fun, it's cool hearing more about everyone :) I like the drawings you did of the characters talking, their backgrounds and poses characterize them really well!
After I saw the video about your idea for the series it makes me love the idea even more. Great job thinking about something like that and hoping it comes real very soon!!!!
I'd say give plum a later 40's early 50s aesthetic to her wardrobe very post-war economic boom Americana vibe. like she can slowly evolve from very old Hollywood styles to the more bouncy more "Modern" 50's wear women start wearing pants, jeans. old Hollywood to a more on the street "Youth" take to the 50's
Hmm that's a good idea tbh, maybe show glimpses of her career while she's wearing some glamourous 50's gowns & then possibly have her modern style be more 80's inspired 🤔
Is it okay to make fanart of my own interpretation of your characters? I’m a character designer and I love doing my own takes of character designs I find interesting. I know that there are a lot of people who are uncomfortable with that because they may see it as me saying that “this is how it’s supposed to be done” so I don’t want to do it without permission. I don’t want to upload it anywhere but if you got a discord for this community I wonder if it’s okay to upload it there
If you're looking for voice actors, I would do it for free! But I have a deeper voice and not much experience, so I'm not exactly the best, but if you are looking for someone my demo reel is on my channel. Sorry....
I LOVE THEM ALL SO SO MUCH,,,
Yay, more Mint & Friends!

Apollo: giving a very detailed description of her ideas
Me: CROISSANT BUILDING CROISSANT BUILDING
ČŔÓÏŚŠÅÑŤ 🥐🥐🥐
Not to downplay the plot, but I'd read this *just* to see all the food-shaped buildings!
That croissant building completely sold me on the idea!
9:17 That shuddering look on Mint’s face accurately sums up peoples reactions to gross out or gory content.

Aaaah! I see you took the idea to make it a reality show with the interview sections! I really love their set ups!
Heck yeah! It's a great idea, thanks for suggesting it 😄

This sounds fun, and thoughtful. Best of luck bringing your ideas into creation over the coming months!
This is really cool! I thought you would make it into a comic or something but you just went all out for animation! This is gonna be awesome!

I'm trying to get involved with an animated series of my own, and I definitely know it takes time!
It'll be a long process but it's worth it! Good luck 😄
I like your art style good luck with your series
9:16 Examples include Mr. Pickles and Ren and Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon
I'm excited to see more of this project, it sounds very fun!
