Absolute pleasure having you both stay with us, 2 absolutely beautiful humans! Great evening with some great chat and my family and i have come away from it realising we have met 2 pretty cool people! I hope you enjoy the rest of your time in the South Island team and you are both welcome back at the "Hotel Kent" on your way back through Blenheim, it would be an absolute treat ☺☺
You absolute legend Kent! Thanks for the lovely experience my friend 😀 you’re one of a kind. We had a lovely time but feel that the video part of town could have being a little better 😂 mado was out of service that day so it was a challenge 😂
Welcome to Blenheim. Sadly the museum has been taken over by the District Council from the Heritage Society. Quick as a flash, they made the top people and others redundant and it hasn't been opened since. Us locals are a bit upset about that. The Heritage park has open days which are quite good. I hope you enjoy yourselves. I live in Renwick, just out of Blenheim.
I didn't get a chance to cook for these guys. Mado kept dishing up beautiful meals Noone could turn down. Those nachos looked top notch though . I hope kiwis continue to open their homes to these wonderful people. They should be living easy while they are guests in our country. Great to see❤
Haha no need for that Flynn 😂😂🙈 thanks for the special words though! Mado loves to cook a few dishes of her own so she’s always happy to do it whenever she can! ❤ it’s so nice to meet people so alike though makes our experience so much better as we do have ups and downs always but the good people always make it a better day for us!
They run steam train rides in Brayshaw Park on the weekends and one of the best aviation museums in the world is next door and part of the Omaka Airfield. It has quite a few aircraft of Peter Jacksons collection and is well with looking at if you go back through Blenheim.
So glad for you guys that you had another kiwi 'host' experience. The Irish are also famous for this hospitality too. The drone footage again really helps showcase Blenheim and the weather was beautiful. Now the forecast for Christchurch is more sunny and warm and you guys will enjoy some summer temps again.
Hey guys love watching your vlogs, I have lived in blenheim for 3.5 years now and wasn't aware of Hedgerows strawberries untill I watched you visit blenheim, now I know where it is after visiting today and yes yes yes the icecream is absolutely fantastic , stay safe and travel well , all the best for your future adventures

That tall, grey building is an old NZ Post Office building, circa 1974. It's no longer owned by NZ Post. By the look of it, it may also have housed the main telephone exchange, as it's very similar to other buildings that housed telephone exchanges. I used to work for NZ Post as a telecoms technician, which is why I recognised the building style.
