Hi guys! Thirsty work! You can't beat a great walk followed by a pint of real beer! The views are stunning! Even though I'm Scottish, I do love The Lakes!👍
Hi George, Great to hear from you. Yeah the lakes are pretty special... although... the Scottish Highlands takes some beating.. I've spent a lot of time in and around Tomintoul near Aviemore, Achnacarry on nr Frt William and on the beautiful west coast - Knoydart. Knoydart is a super special place for me with some fabulous friend & characters.. I just love the beauty of the lakes ands a pint of real lakes ale.. But a pint sat at the Old Forge on Knodart looking over the Sound of Sleat does take some beating.. Thanks for watching.. All the best Matthew & Sue
Hi Peter, She doesn't care one bit... I'm just glad that these days I still make her laugh... but now a days its through my misery.. 😂👍🏻 Thanks for watching. All the very best Matthew & Sue
Hey, thanks for your great comments… and thanks for watching😉. I’m just working on the next one which should be out as soon as I can find some decent background music to go with it… 🙄😀 Keep tuned 👀.. 👍🏻👍🏻
Started off the same way I did it with a fellow TH-cam and his wife a couple of years back and the same parking spot too. Nice to see the views we missed out on, as all we got till the end was mist, wind and more of the same. Loved the done footage, the views were amazing, especially when you got onto the summit of Fairfield. In the warm weather I always take 3 litres with me and always drink it all as well and interesting that you think the other way around is the better route. The twist looked very cooling and looked to cut off a bit of the return journey as well, I wish we had took it, especially with there were bluebells and waterfalls on the trail as well. Great hike and the Kentmere is even better but parking, even mid week is at a premium, so you need to be there for 07.00 to grab a park. That pint seemed to be going down well mind lol, cheers Alan
Hi Alan, Hope you're feeling better, pneumonia defiantly isn't fun.. it isn't the same without seeing you on the fells.. I watched your Fairfield film and you defiantly did battle with the conditions.. but it looked great fun. To be honest... If I had a towel with me I'm pretty sure I would have been in that Buckstones Jump. There were a few great young lads there jumping in and out which looked great fun, however, I'm pretty sure my heart would take the shock... That pint at the B Bar didn't last long.. neither did the next.. I tell you something.. I bloody slept well that night 😂 I really enjoyed your film on the chainsaw and with those skills you can always get a cabinet makers job at our place 😉👍🏻 Looking forward to seeing you out again soon 👍🏻 P.S. Mrs Metalman is a fabulous camera person!!
@@crag_mavericks - funny enough, when I left school, I worked in a wood mill for 20 years as a woodcutting machinist, making furniture but my days of chocking on dust are over now thank goodness :o). Appreciate your kind words and looking forward to your Kentmere video :o)
Nice walk. The Rydal hall team room does some really nice cakes. Recommend doing Stybarrow Dodd, Watsons Dodd, Great Dodd, Calf Pike and Clough Head from Legberthwaite. Will make a cracking vid.
Hi JJ, tHanks for watching 👍🏻 We've never been into the tea rooms... we've walked past them loads of times but we always end up at the Badger Bar.. but we need to give them a try. We did Stybarrow Dodd and that rout through to Clough Head last year... I can remember we went out to Clough Head then back to Calf pike for a very steep descent down a very sketchy path.. A proper thigh burner.. I was damn glad to get back to the car... When we got back I found that our mic's weren't plugged in properly and no sound was recorded.. 🤦🏻♂️ I couldn't believe it.. Looks like we will have to do it again, although I'd like to find an alternative way down.... But not 'Fisher's Wife's Rake'!!... Thanks Again Matthew & Sue
Yo.. I know… I tore my calf muscle 2 weeks ago and I thought I would be out for a while… but.. it’s healed a lot faster than I expected so we are out tomorrow… New Film incoming soon 🤩 Cheers for watching 👍🏻 Keep tuned 😊
YO Dudes.... We've got one ready to drop... and it's ace.. Sorry for the delay.. again.. We've just been dead busy with other stuff and a minor incident with a ride on lawn mower 🤦🏻♂️ I know it's no excuse but you'll love this next one.. we hope 🙏. Thanks for the message and for reaching out 😉 Hold tight... Im aiming for Thursday night.. Cheers Matthew & Sue

I love watching Susan’s reaction whenever you trip, slip or stumble - not an ounce of concern😂
