Another great podcast from you - thanks you! I can definitely see you as a designer and have thought that for a while as I've followed you from the beginning. I love your podcast and would definitely support your design aspirations. Can't wait for that to happen! Xx

Thank you! I really enjoyed doing it and it was really helpful for me to reflect on what worked or didn't work for all of my finished pieces!

Btw, I think centrifuging your knits after washing them, helps to prevent the garment growing and keeps it more in the original size as it was before washing/blocking🤍

Thank you! It's honestly such a nice piece, I think i'm going to get sooo much wear out of it! Ooo thank you for the tip! I wash all of my wool knits in the machine on a wool cycle, but i put the tempurature down to 20 and keep the spin on 800. It probably sounds silly but i think i'm more affraid of putting plant based/summer fibre yarns in the washing machine, i think because i just don't know how they will turn out! I think i'll pop one of my cotton knits in with the next wool wash i put on and see if it does go back to it's original size!! 🥰

Yes I think it’s super wearable too😍 I was also worried about putting plant based fibre garments in the machine but I washed my cumulus tee (made in Tynn Line) in the machine for washing (on a wool/handwash cycle) and it was still very wet so I did a cycle of only centrifuge on 1200 I think and it turned out great! I also like to do the same with my wool garments because they dry much much quicker and don’t get as stretched out🫶🏼

@@ensoknit Oooo perfect!! I'll definitely do that too then! I was surprised at how well my wool knits turned out after washing them in the washing machine, you honestly couldn't tell at all and none of them have been shrunk or anything! I feel more confident trying that with summer knits now, plus i'm too lazy to keep hand washing them 😂

Yeah same!😂 I almost feel like machine washing them is better for them now, but idk if that’s me being delulu or if it’s actually the case. Either way it’s in no way bad for them in my experience🫶🏼

Amazing what you squeezed out of that leftover Lang Lace Mohair... gorgeous combination with the cashmere on cone! I'll try to replicate...😍😇

I'm so excited to hear about your knitwear design journey! I really want to get into it too eventually, but as you're saying it's a lot to wrap your head around and a lot to learn! I'm sure you'll get there, and I'll definitely support you when you come out with patterns!

Thank you so so much! that means a lot ❤ I'm excited to reach that point too, I have a good couple of designs sketched out, so once i wrap my head aroung this grading stuff I'm hoping the ball will start rolling faster after that 🥰

How much is the SisterMountain grading course? I can't find information on their site. However I see they have a lot of free content

Hi! I belive it's £595 usually but I think she does a promotion sometimes that makes it £495. She does have some really great free resources! I've looked over quite a lot of it so i'd definitely recommend looking through her blog posts if you're looking for some info 🥰
