I like your thought process regarding the waffle sweater and getting the best use out of a special yarn. It shows you really want to show your gratitude for the gift too since you are being purposeful about how you use it. I like the idea of getting two garments out of it and you know you'll love them as wardrobe staples!
Thank you! I definitely think i'm going to knit up the two pieces using the yarn. It would mean getting twice as much wear out of it and i just think that would be prefect, it's such a beautiful yarn, and such a generous gift!!
Hi Freya, so beautiful to see how you're transforming the "special" yarn...😉 the waffle sweater seemed like such a good choice... really like the texture. I'll stay tuned...🥰
I know, I really thought the waffle sweater was the one! But I think in the end I just wanted to be more sure that I would make a piece that I would wear over and over again! But I do absolutely love the waffle sweater, so I think i'll have to revisit it 💖🥰
As for knitting with scraps I thought about the Sea Glass patterns from wool & pine. It's very fussy to do but you can use any amount of scrap yarn. The Sea Glass hat is a free pattern, you could look it up to see how it works.
Ooo yes! I've seen a couple of versions of that sweater, and it would be perfect for all my scraps!! Seeing the hat pattern has made me want to knit up some scrappy Christmas gifts already! Haha
I think ideally I definitely would do this but I would have to stretch out the yarn more than I'm comfortable with ( I prefer to do as little manipulation in the blocking process as possible, I think because I don't trust it to not slowly shrink again when it's dry 😆) but I know logically it's something I should do, I'm just hesitant to do it!! Haha
You are beautiful and talented, mental illness is a heavy cross to carry ,but with therapy and medication you can lead a normal life.I am sure you can find a job,you have so much to offer.
Corrina suggested this too and i think it's such a good idea! I love re-knitting patterns and usually the second version comes out better so I think it's definitely an option 🥰

Another great vid! Looking forward to the next one x
I also struggle with severe bipolar disorder and am a knitter. I enjoyed your podcast. Keep it up. 😊
Thank you for your encouragement! I hope you're doing well❤️

Love the colour of your sofie sweater, it suits you really well!
Thank you so much! It's a bit more of a statement than I'm used to but I love it too 🥰

Love the sweater
You could try blocking the waffle sweater at this stage before unravelling? It might grow a bit more

Thank you so much for your kind words! It means a lot, and fingers crossed you're right about the job 💖
For the waffle sweater maybe you could also wait to unravel It and knit the waffle sweater with another yarn and see How Is the fit and then decide..
