    I own this and i pull it out 10x more often than a full size at this point.
    There’s nothing this little mini monster can’t cut thru if you use the right blade for the job.
    You can’t describe how easy it is to work this thing around a small space…

    I have both types of saws from Milwaukee. I'm really happy DeWalt has made this option available for it's users. Both have applications. Try holding that bigger saw all day, even though the smaller one may cut slower, it's gonna be way less of a hazard to your arms and the load you are cutting.
    I have family that are invested in the DeWalt line, so this has made Christmas shopping tremendously easier.

    It's nice that dewalt has it in this form factor now since it's lighter and fits in your bag easier. Friend has one at work though and it comparable to the Milwaukee m12 when you'd think it'd be closer to the m18.

    Huge issue I'm having is the batteries. The flexvolt on the other one makes a noticeable difference. All my dewalts perform stronger with the flexvolt batteries then the regs. Just saying.

    Be curious in the spring to see a comparison in recip sizes for pruning. Used the big boy Milwaukee for some honey suckle a few years ago and it demolished a whole area easily. It however is unwieldy when doing overheard small limbs. Be nice to see tips on when to use the particular saws power:weight ratio against differing size and density woods. Kinda specific but I haven’t found a video on TH-cam about it. I think these will take off when home users figure out how good it is for pruning.

    hmm I like the lighter and more ergonomic one handed design of it but I just don't find myself one handing material and cutting that often. As for tighter spaces yea no doubt that will help. Not sure how I feel about it being less power though seems like that could potentially fatigue you faster. Definitely neat thou and I think fits their atomic brand much better than some of the other atomics you reviewed.

    • @hammerandhome
      @hammerandhome  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mike Grn yeah I definitely have to agree with you on getting fatigued faster. I think it will also burn through batteries. But I do really like it for cutting pipe.

    Hi Brad,
    I have the milwaukee m18 hackzall. DeWalt just came out with their model which i think i will also buy one. Like you mention it's not for heavy demo but it's a great saw for small demo work, pipe cutting, nail cutting, working in small spaces and cutting 2x4, 2x6 and some 4x4. I use the diablo blade on my saw and it works sweet.
    I do like this hackzall for these types of jobs. I do have my large sawzall for big stuff. Just use the right tools for certain jobs. It's just common sense.
    Keep using it. You will find yourself picking it up more often for those certain jobs
    Thanks for the video

      @jamesbanning3255
      😆, had to call it a hackzall. Sawzall is a trademark by Milwaukee. They were the first company that created the electric Sawzall, Yes, electric means plug into an outlet. So through the years, everyone called a reciprocating saw a Sawzall. Just like how people were calling battery operated tools electric. It was actually cordless tools. It took time.
      Dewalt couldn't use Sawzall. It was called a hackzall in the beginning. Now everyone calls it reciprocating saw, crazy. That's what you get when you own a trademark👍
      Anyway, that's it. 😆👍

    Love your videos and how cool and level headed you seem to be. However, most everyone seems to missing the point of this saw and mostly the entire atomic line. This saw was never meant to take the place of a sawzall, its meant to compliment installers, electricians, plumbers, mechanics, etc... Its a short throw system(shorter cutting strokes), not long throw like the traditional sawzall. The trigger is more finesse which allows for greater control, especially one handed.

    • @hammerandhome
