    The blade matches your new truck. I used my porter cable reciprocating saw last year. It was handy. Have a buddy grab the branch you’re cutting if you wanna have a good laugh. 😎

    I added one to my business after watching Keith Kalfas use it to cut roots in the ground to remove hedge stumps. I use the longer blades

    These saws are great I keep one in the van. Mine is Ryobi but same thing, I put a pruning 10" blade on mine. Had it for about 8 months. Cuts through trees in seconds as you know

    Awesome video! Yeah we used a bigger, I think carbide tooth blade on our one handed sawzall for pruning some way overgrown apple trees and we were blown away. We were trying to figure out what took us so long to realize this was the ticket!

    I think the reciprocating saw is great. But i only use it for palm fronds and the like. Anything that usually gums up the chainsaw I leave for the reciprocating saw and it work’s flawlessly. Although for small tree limbs, I think the best option would be the Milwaukee hand chainsaw (or otherwise known as the Milwaukee hatchet).

    Cool idea. I have been using the pole saw attachment. I bought the Stihl battery kombi system and got a pole saw attachment. It can be a little cumbersome I suppose. But I do like being able to stay back a little with the extra reach. Also, with the pole saw you don't have to bend as much to get the suckers. But I do like this idea.

    I would recommend getting the pruning blades that you can put on that saw. Same brand, Diablo.

    Good video Johnathan! One of the best all around tools to have for landscaping. I recommend a good electric impact too for lug nut removal, blade change outs or maintenance on equipment. Just like Johnathan has suggested in earlier videos about equipment, stick with one brand for the simplicity of having same batteries and charger for your tools.

      To be honest I go to Harbor Freight and buy some cheap multi packs.... Usually come in a red or clear case. Sometimes I need a metal cutting blade for metal edging or pvc pipe, but other times I just need a wood cutting blade... I like getting different sizes too, which the multipack will give you.

    Happy New Year to you sir. I hope all is well and it looks to be. I wanted to ask as I have followed you for a while. You just showed a tool and mentioned the proper time and way to trim a Crepe Myrtle. I wanted to ask about something that recently came up on IG. A picture was posted and the person doing a trim job on a holly tree was pretty much told they were pruning/trimming it wrong and damaging it or potentially killing it. The comments stated that you should hand trim the hollies not electric or gas trim them. Do you have a video on this? Do you hand sheer your hollies or use electric/gas trimmers. I have seen a video where you talked about how to properly use a gas powered trimmer and how to save your shoulders but I wanted your input on this topic as the price to do this was high and where I live you cannot charge someone $120/hr to do hand trimming.

      What does the silky do differently when cutting?

    • @jeffreytasende3059
      @jeffreytasende3059 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FloridaTurfPros For one it makes a much cleaner cut which allows the tree to heal better and the cuts look more professional. It’s just a handsaw but as soon as you make a few cuts with it you’ll understand. They cut with minimal effort. You talk about about looking professional in a lot of your videos and I agree 💯 that dewalt makes you look like some homeowner out there cutting trees. I’d get the silky zubat it’s perfect for small stuff because it has slightly smaller teeth then some other models. Good luck and keep up the great content👍🏼

    • @4seeableTV
      @4seeableTV 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeffreytasende3059 Yes, the Silky Zubat does a good job. But it is expensive. In fact, the DeWalt is only about $15 more (on Amazon). And it can also be used on many other things. I say whatever gets the job done for the landscaper is the one that works. We all have a preferences.

      Lee valley tools makes a reciprocating curved pruning blade with a similar blade to silky with impulse hardened razor push pull teeth. That tool operates at 2800rpm so if you don’t want to be an ancient horticulture samurai but still want to give a clean healthy pruning... 🤪
