I’m going on a limb and saying this is probably the best pistol grip video on TH-cam

Myles, you’ll most likely never see this, but I just wanted to say thank you for these tutorials. You are THE only person on this whole website that properly explains where to put your hands. All these other guntubers are just vague when they show where they put their hands. You’re the only one who explained that the meaty parts of your palms are the parts that are touching and acting like a vice. Once you said that, it’s like a lightbulb clicked on above my head.

Excellent video. This seems so simple, but the nutcracker grip cue is huge!

Every time I watch these Pistol series videos I peel back another layer of the onion. Soon I will have French Onion Soup and Onion Rings as I'm always happy to consume what the Tactical Hyve is serving. With that said, I find myself going more to the range to practice these drills versus just slinging lead down range.

I just got my first handgun and shot around 100 rounds over 2 sessions, and people have been saying I've improved a lot. I can now hit the bullseye a few times! It's all thanks to your videos!

This is very smart instructional content. I rarely watch a shooting video where i don't take issue with one or two things. Everything this man is saying and demonstrating is legit on point . Simple when it needs to be, or complex only when it needs to be.

I love this channel. Great content. It's super informative and easy to follow. I'm hitting up the range this week to work more on my grip and recoil control.

I want to say thank you for this video. I have been shooting competition for 10 years now and have had an inconsistent problem with pulling my shots down especially when shooting fast. After watching this video I when to the range and just lifted up my right thumb and paid close attention to not grip my fingers and man what a difference. Thanks for the tip my friend!!!

Ive broken the majority of bones in my right habd multple times and some in my left ahd some healed wrong which has lead to early onset of arthritic pain and nerve damage . I think that would be interesting bc im aleays haveing to adapt my grip due to this . Thanks love the content as usual

My grip doesn't come apart, but with my small hands, I try to keep my right thumb up but maintain pressure with support hand. Great info, and I will be using this 👍

I always had dry skin with cracked dry hands in the winter so I'm using hand cream -fast absorbing (fresh gel) Not oily cream ! And the difference is as day and night.

Regarding the the support hand sliding forward, Coch has a great grip video where he talks about the firing hand wrist breaking which pushes the support hand forward.

This is the first advice that actually worked for why I keep losing my support hand grip. 🙏🏾

  • @clee6746
    @clee6746 ปีที่แล้ว

When the supporting hand is moved forward after each shot, it could also be the wrist of the shooting hand moved upward and backward as a result of the recoil. That's why some instructors would ask you to push the firing hand forward to increase the tension of the wrist of the firing hand.

@10:29 my issue is, i use the same grip, but my thumb always interferes with the slide release, 90% of the time my slide wont stay back on the last shot, or if im using a extended release, i have at time caused it to move up and lock during firing..

Miles all your information shared us great as well as appreciated.
I'm a new shooter working on all your principals through practice.
Grip, I have G19 5th gen mos and Holosun SCS. What's puzzling me is my trigger finger rides the trigger guard. I am trying to alter that grip but perhaps dealing with the angle of the Glocks frame.
Could you suggest anything I maybe able to try.?

Push & Pull. Dry fire is important, but your not getting the same affect of loosing your grip as you are during live fire . I think you need to keep all this in mind AS your practicing at the range . First do doubles, then do a few more in sets , I practice in sets , like you would in a real situation. That's what your training for , real life .
