Your appraiser was a hoot! And it was kind of him to offer his knowledge. One more successful rescue under your belt boys! So glad that you are making a go of it! 🏴❤️🇺🇸
Agree with the appraiser on the 2 tone tan. Looked better in the hanger but the sun really pulled out the difference in the tans. Black vinyl from the mid stripe up would have solved that.
I have to agree. Not a fan of that tannish color used to cover the Miami Vice themed striping. Might get a little more for it if it was changed to a different color or possibly another solid color stripe? I think the red stripes with the black would have looked better. JMO Jason. Good job though. She's definitely a nice plane.
Well, your appraiser definitely gave you a baseline and not a bad one at that. But I think he was being a bit conservative personally. I would say that’s a eight 8 1/2+ exterior… I think the rebuild rescue crew definitely saved another bird and made it sparkle again👍👍👏👏🇺🇸🇺🇸
Happy Saturday everyone. Man, that wrap completely changed the look; it's fantastic! Glad to have you all back this weekend, Saturday just isn't the same without Rebuild Rescue. Welcome to November, everyone. Be safe and continue to keep the storm victims in mind.
Beautiful airplane! I have a soft spot for warriors! I’m torn though, I really do love both paint schemes. I think I would rather have the original paint though. But the new wrap looks great too!
The finish of the vinyl wrap looks quite good but I suppose it would all have to be re-done if a panel had to come off or a few of the rivets had to come off?
If you replace that lighter tan strip with a Maroon strip it would really set the plane off, still an unbelievable transformation and a classic airplane gets a new lease on life to be flown and enjoyed.
The plane ended up looking great! I would've continued the strip all the way up the vertical stabilizer. To me, it looks incomplete doing just the base.
So Jason, I’ve been thinking about wraps on airplanes for a while. I’m glad you’re doing it. I don’t know the answer, but I’m curious if it may corrode quicker underneath a wrap versus paint. I’ve always wondered if moisture can get trapped underneath of that vinyl wrap. I’d like to keep track of the new owner or maybe I should just buy the plane lol. I’ve been seriously thinking about putting some wrap on my Cherokee 160. I guess it wouldn’t be much different than striped decaling. Good to see you guys back, I know you’ve been busy.
Nobody “ forgot” an airplane! They lost their medical or something and thought they would fly again in the future but didn’t and have either passed away or decided to get rid of it It most definitely wasn’t forgotten
So good to see you guys making a little money. Are the AZ airplanes getting close to being ready? Fun, fun, fun..... you guys are like the Beach Boys..... lol
Your video is 'clearer' than previous ones: It really helps understanding the full process of rescuing an airplane. Thanks for listening to our comments and improving ! Take care ! K
I hope you find a buyer soon and RR comes out on top. I wonder what compound Joe was using to buff the old paint coat with. Anything special? Does polishing with it generate more heat than could be tolerated on a fiberglass finish?
Hmmm, so are you going to take the wrap off every annual to be able to inspect any working rivets/cracks in skin? A lot easier with paint to see any aluminium oxide and cracks.
A significant transformation to the Piper indeed. One question - will the rap be affected and possibly ripped off by temp and altitude changes or airspeed?
I'm surprised they were allowed to use a gas torch for heat setting the vinyl wrapping in that hangar, I recently got chipped by one of the senior engineers at the hangar I work at , for using a gas soldering iron, citing avgas and other combustibles within close proximity , I know exclusively use electrical soldering iron and thermo gun when in the hangar. When I worked on a military aircraft production line, the use of a gas heating torch wouldn't have been even hinted at and all our electrical outlets were low voltage
it would be nice to just know how much it cost to buy, how much you spent all up, and how much it sold for ,and how much you made selling it i mean this is why we watch it yer
Nice wrap - how did you sign the logbooks? The FAA recently issued guidance on using wraps on aircraft; surely you read it before doing the work on this airplane.
I've been watching you guys for a while now and always wanted to buy one of these planes from you to support your work, but My butt has been sitting 3x longer than this plane has...lol Though flying is like riding a bicycle, can't forget, I still would have to go back and understand the new rules especially living in NY tri-state area... I love the Piper's, that's how I started out (140)...
So, is it a) cheaper to do a vinyl wrap than painting? b) does the vinyl actually stay on the aircraft better in flight? c) does the vinyl weigh less than paint does?
I'd like to see the logbook signoff for it. In accordance with what? Shane? FAA recently issued an inFO note on using wraps on airplanes. Might want to be careful with them.
Your appraiser was a hoot! And it was kind of him to offer his knowledge. One more successful rescue under your belt boys! So glad that you are making a go of it! 🏴❤️🇺🇸

Saturday with my favorite Airplane channels and a good ole cup of coffee is always a HUGE WIN. Thank you Jayson
Awesome. Thank you making us apart of
your weekend
@@rebuildrescue Always brother always your a part of my family
Have a nice weekend guys.
You too!
Nice restoration. Can't wait for the free abandoned plane to be ready.
Interesting top color choice. Black? Hot interior & avionics if not hangared.
We first thought we’d also do the very top of the plane but decided instead to leave it tan as to keep it cooler.
Glad you saved it and made it look like brand NEW...! The wrap made it beautiful again...
We appreciate that Terrance !
Another Saturday awesomeness! Can't wait to get home and watch the episode 🙌🏼
We always love hearing from you Brother, thank you for stopping by!
Glad to see you back. I love how the plane turned out. You guys do such great work. Not only does it look great, but it safe and reliable. #THEBEST
The black looks great. The beige was definitely from a by gone era.

"She is a beaut Clark!"
Beautiful airplane! I have a soft spot for warriors! I’m torn though, I really do love both paint schemes. I think I would rather have the original paint though. But the new wrap looks great too!
Great to see Shane on this project!! The GOAT of wraps!!
Did not know that wrapping is an option? Well then! Love it!
That's going to be a sweet ✈️ ready for service
Dear Mr. Morrison,
This plane looks almost like a new one. Well done
Wow! That looks a-mazing! Incredible job!
Great way to start a Saturday, watching Rebuild Rescue!
Cool to see Shane since he split for street speed
The finish of the vinyl wrap looks quite good but I suppose it would all have to be re-done if a panel had to come off or a few of the rivets had to come off?
Hasn't Joe's presentation improved tremendously from the first episodes.
If you replace that lighter tan strip with a Maroon strip it would really set the plane off, still an unbelievable transformation and a classic airplane gets a new lease on life to be flown and enjoyed.
It came out looking great! The black vinyl is really awesome. All of the new additions are definitely pretty cool. Nice work!
Thank you ! We loved the way it came out.
Awesome plane!
Correct me if I'm wrong if paint or wraps are involved which adds weight shouldn't there of been a weight & balance completed?
Jason, I think we would love to see a bit more flying if possible. Love the rescue.
Best youtuber ever!
Thank you! 👍🏻👍🏻
If you was playing darts then you got a bullseye that was one sweet aeroplane nice stay safe and crack on
Nice cleanup but I really preferred the flame gradient stripes over that baby cr@p beige stripe. Guess I'm just old school.
yea, really didnt like them saying the 80's look was bad. i liked it way more before the black
My socks in the 80's were a match too!
Great job! Good luck with the sale
Thank you ! We appreciate your support
The plane ended up looking great! I would've continued the strip all the way up the vertical stabilizer. To me, it looks incomplete doing just the base.
Looking forward to seeing the cirrus sr20 updates!
I liked the gradient!
P-51 jocks appreciated their planes being polished, made them faster! Can't speak for the 38's and 47's
Would have been nice to see it in the Air Flown in it's Glory ~
There was a little bit when they flew it home but yes it would have been nice to see the finished article in the air

great job on this plane. i think it looks great

Great video, enjoyed it, give a pat on the back to the editor
from yet another older flyer, I don't care for the "wrap" stuff, prefer the old fashion paint.
Should have left the side stripes. Looked much more interesting and stylish.
I hope you find a buyer soon and RR comes out on top. I wonder what compound Joe was using to buff the old paint coat with. Anything special? Does polishing with it generate more heat than could be tolerated on a fiberglass finish?
6:37 Working on and videography of, being done on the 401 in the background. What do we have here? Another gutted shell?
Love your content
Thank you ! Awesome to have you apart of the Rescue Crew 👍🏻
Wrapping a plane is hard to do hard to make it look good but they killed it
Tan and Black usually compliment each other.
The mismatched tan stripe gotta go. I think the red gradient to yellow stripes looked great with the black!
Or a dark gold stripe with black would look great also
Hmmm, so are you going to take the wrap off every annual to be able to inspect any working rivets/cracks in skin? A lot easier with paint to see any aluminium oxide and cracks.
Would love to see that beautiful Bonanzz N34TP detailed and made ready to fly. When?
A significant transformation to the Piper indeed. One question - will the rap be affected and possibly ripped off by temp and altitude changes or airspeed?
Flying in rain is generally not good to vinyl on airplanes, but this one might not be fast enough for it to matter.
Vinyl wrap is heavy. Is there like a special vinyl the help keep the weight low?
Hey guys, awesome video! What kind of compound and buffing pad did you use?
Thanks!
😂 we started a drinkin game on over used terms. “100%” being one of the leaders.
Me gusta el color original tal cual es asi como los pintaban a los Cherokee ese color lustrado luce mucho y muy visto como keda colores antiguos
Hey hey hey:) looks nice! The first plane i flew was a 63 Cherokee 4..i cant remember the year..but i really liked it..up at Takotna Ak
Up at takotna Ak
You can vinyl airplanes? That looks sharp!
Yes…. Many if not most new airplanes have aspects of Vinyl wrapping/Stripes on them.
Yip, many of today's airliners are wrapped.@@rebuildrescue
@@rebuildrescue Stripes, but not large sections. Recent FAA guidance on that - you may want to look it up.
Surprised Shane didn’t get you to do a tie dye theme to really make that airplane standout. He did that with Mike (Streetspeed717).

Hey Jason. Didn`t see you since that humanitarian raid with your bud on an helio. Almost thoght you`d "abandoned us"😅😅.
Happy landings from Portugal.
been watching your videos, I know where there is another plane that need some rescue
Saturday = Rebuild Rescue.
man. you guys got that plane lookin great!
Thank you !
@@rebuildrescue i liked the kitfox 1 too! you should do a biplane repair that would be pretty cool
Any chance that buffing made the plane a little more efficient?
Do you guys list the planes for Sale on Controller or Trade-A-Plane?
We usually do however we’ve been having a lot of people reach out to us when they first see an airplane on the channel.
I’m quite fond of warriors since I earned my PPL in them. Great trainers.
Not crazy about the new format. I appreciate the mechanical aspects. This just felt like a detailing show. I hope the best for you.
It's part of the rebuild!!
Hope there's no fuel leaks with that torch. Heat gun would be safer. Me thinks.
it would be nice to just know how much it cost to buy, how much you spent all up, and how much it sold for ,and how much you made selling it i mean this is why we watch it yer
Got the Guiness colour scheme. :)
The airplane's new look is a lot better but I do not like the tan striping !!!
Nice wrap - how did you sign the logbooks?
The FAA recently issued guidance on using wraps on aircraft; surely you read it before doing the work on this airplane.
Holy TH-cam crossover Batman
Vinyl scares me from a corrosion standpoint but it does look great.
Yep it will trap moisture like crazy.
Looks great guys..Does Joe buff cars? Thanks guys
Is vinyl wrapping over rivets even legal?
Looks Good... ';-)
How much weight does the vinyl add?
It’s comparable to paint.
@@rebuildrescue
The vinyl wrap is additional weight to the paint that is already there. So, you should do a new weight and balance on the aircraft.
Please tell me the design choices for this wrap job don't reflect what the 401 will look like . . .
My Piper Warrior came from Carenado hehe. Gorgeous! Wish I had a real licence and some REAL money to bring it back to Canada! Did it sell already?
What’s the difference in cost of the wrap vs paint?
I've been watching you guys for a while now and always wanted to buy one of these planes from you to support your work, but My butt has been sitting 3x longer than this plane has...lol Though flying is like riding a bicycle, can't forget, I still would have to go back and understand the new rules especially living in NY tri-state area... Looks Awful with the black and beige. Stripes would have been better and how much weight did that add?
Inshane design? Wow I guess he will never work with Mike from street speed 717!
I believe they are working on different personal projects at this point.
So, is it
a) cheaper to do a vinyl wrap than painting?
b) does the vinyl actually stay on the aircraft better in flight?
c) does the vinyl weigh less than paint does?
Joe's buffing was a waste of time. It looked great after the buffing.😢
So how much do you have into the plane?
Reminds me a little of the dark color on Trump Force One. Thanks for sharing fellas.
White roof would be better
How can a wrap be airworthy? Suppose it folds up in flight.
I'd like to see the logbook signoff for it. In accordance with what? Shane?
FAA recently issued an inFO note on using wraps on airplanes. Might want to be careful with them.
Why not link your valuation expert contact details in your description? Seems like that person is an encyclopedia of knowledge and value.
need an up date on 401
Being part of the generation that brought bell bottoms back and complaining about the 80's style is wild.
🤣😂 Now that’s funny and so true.
South of $90,000.00??? That's like buying a *nice* CAR brand new! I would've priced a freakin' *airplane* at $250,000.00!
Another great episode! Thanks 😎
Not gonna lie... i had NO idea you could vinyl wrap a plane. The cowl doesn't get too hot?
