    Hope this video goes into more depth than most others on this joystick and also helps explain the value of FFB to people that have not tried it.
    Thanks for all the support BLESSED BE THE FFB !

      Great video! Did you give up on the twisty stick extension for rudder? Is it broken, do you recommend it or not for rudder, or only as a way to get a longer stick? (Who doesn't want a longer stick? ahem!)

      I think you should be made aware that the recent upgrades to the software are due to Moza copying the software from VPForce's software for their Rhino FFB Base. This software while being open source requires credit to be given to the original creator/company and also requires the user of the copied software to also make their software open source! Moza have done neither and are using other companies software illegally on their own equipment. They don't even know how the programming works as they literally copied and pasted the code then translated it for use in the Moza AB9 base, when asked by users what certain effects do and how they work they are unable to tell due to the fact it's not their code. Recent additions of the hardware trim option are VPForce's code that has been in use for a while now and VPForce have been developing their software for nearly 3 years.
      VPFroce are not upset that Moza have copied 3 years of work but they are upset that Moza are not following their legal requirments as they are obliged to credit VPForce for supplying the original code and need to make their own software open source if they want to use it. The GUI and FFB options are almost identical with some graphical changes to the "look" of the software. Such behaviours from a large well known company are disgraceful and IMHO Moza should be boycotted until they do the right thing. After all, Users of the Moza AB9 base will have to wait for VPForce to update their software before Moza can supply updates as Moza have not actually worked out how VPForce's code works yet!

    Been running mine for a couple of months and it's amazing. We recently got a hardware trim option for MSFS as well, which although not perfect gets around the fact of no native ffb. I'm tempted to change the MH16 stick at some point, it's great but the hats don't allow centre click and there are no axis buttons. The software is still a bit clunky but its easy enough to use, it ups the immersion factor and the dynamic nature of the strength/spring based on outside forces and the plane itself is way better than playing with spring tension. Price is relatively high compared to non ffb options, but for a FFB option its actually very reasonable when compared to the Brunner and comparable to a reasonable direct drive car set up

  • @Belatu42
    @Belatu42 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

    Good point about the z-axis for helicopters. Most people don’t realize that using the twist for tail rotor control causes you to make other unwanted inputs with the cyclic. Helicopters are super sensitive and that tiny bit of unwanted input can really make it difficult to fly. You’re better off with a paddle axis than the z-axis for helis if you don’t have pedals.

  • @Zeeflyboy
    @Zeeflyboy 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +7

    The TM warthog stick works perfectly btw, software actually just picks it up as a MH16 stick.

    • @irish7460
      @irish7460 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      But is it as effective? the base may have more trouble driving that stick considering its the double the weight. It's definitely true for wheel bases. Bigger wheel, weaker effects.

    real pilot here, youre wrong about not feeling wind in the yoke. you feel gusts, none fly by wire should feel the wind deflecting on the elevator and alerion, the stick will have sudden and strong pulls, to the point you have to counter turn to return to straight and level flight. I hope to feel that while flight simming as well. especially if you get into the different types of turbulence, lower speed windshear should lead to a mushy feeling on the controls

    • @GamerMuscleVideos
      @GamerMuscleVideos  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@TheLebronOfCooking well obviously in a real aircraft you will feel anything that has the affect of changing pressure on control surfaces or deflecting controll services as the yoke is connected to them , the speed of wind and angle of wind that does that and to what degree will then vary.
      The speed of the aircraft should also greatly affect the degree to which turbulence affects controll services relative to the turbulence.
      I'd imagine there is really interesting documentation on it and probably the data to know how to set up things to feel as close as possible with Sims and ffb devices.
      I probably wasn't very clear in the video , you can set up turbulence with ffb joystick to suddenly tug on the stick but I don't think it operates precisely like it does in real life / is not a proper simulation of it.
      Wind or directions of wind that suddenly remove lift from the control surfaces again should be possible but will depend on what's driving the telemetry and to what degree that's simulated , it could probably be faked in a very convincing way mind you.
      At the moment , as far as I'm aware only a fake semi fixed form of turbulence "effect" will give the sudden tugg type effect on the stick with ffb joysticks I have used.
      Can get some feel for turbulence with the G-force effect but I don't think it will really operate quite right / will happen too slowly and also give false input on the stick if used aggressively.

      @nemisis_wolf 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@GamerMuscleVideos MSFS both versions have little to no telemetry VPForce have created Fake effects to compensate for this and Moza have this in the AB9 as it's VPForces code! DCS on the other hand has telemetry for the modules in the sim but each modules telemetry depends on the individual developer of the module to add these effects to the module so some DCS module have very little but the F-4 Phantom by Heatblur has the most realistic effect alongside the warbirds.

    • @GamerMuscleVideos
      @GamerMuscleVideos  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yah it's a shame , MSFS is basically mostly just air speed based and then some specific effects , still feels great though and a billion times better than no ffb , especially combined with hardware trim and all the other nice stuff from having a ffb stick.
      At some point I'll get on DCS ,iL2 and other games.
      I just enjoy the sight seeing aspect of fs2024

    Just upgraded my CPU, and I was very excited to play again, expecting gains compared to my previous one. That part didn’t disappoint-going from the 5900X to the 7950X3D. However, after I installed the MOZA cockpit and launched the simulator, the base went berserk with vibrations and noises.
    When I got into the plane, I finally realised that, in the last month or so, I hadn’t really experienced true force feedback. Suddenly, I could feel everything-the trimming was finally noticeable, and I was getting that amazing feedback. After flying without any specific purpose for about 10 minutes, I returned to the main menu, and once again, the base was vibrating and making noises like crazy.
    I started to worry, so I turned off the simulator and launched it again, but the problem persisted. I reset Windows 11, but now I can no longer get any telemetry service running. I tried re-launching it directly from the MOZA cockpit folder under the MFS folder, but something that worked in the past no longer works.
    I have no feedback at all now. I’ve tried reinstalling everything, resetting the base, and launching it when Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 was already running (as I saw suggested somewhere), but none of these solutions worked.
    I was really hoping to spend my days off enjoying the simulator, but unfortunately, nothing is working. I’ve spent hours trying to fix it.
    Does anyone have a solution? I’ve submitted a support ticket, but I don’t expect an answer until after New Year. Those 10 minutes I experienced were the best I’ve ever had in a flight simulator. Please help me get back to that.
    Thank you, and by the way, great video! I’ve been watching you for a while now, mostly for sim racing content. It’s great that you’re covering this as well.

    Had the pleasure to fly in msfs2024 a beechcraft in some “turbulence” literally couldn’t stop it climbing and overspending (idle, propelle back you name it).
    Moza base is the new shit, i use it with some virpil stick. Don’t forget about trimming pressure, not the most precise but it’s nice to have it.

    Hello! I bought one but couldn't get the FFB to ever work. I set it up in MSFS2020 in the control section with the MOZA software and it directionally functioned just perfectly but never had any FFB. Support was spotty and often was unrelated to trying to get to the bottom of no FFB response...l just returned the unit back to them. Question...when you configured your unit via the control section of the game, did it both directionally work and provide FFB or was there something else you needed to do to enable FFB? I think my unit was defective out of the box but MOZA could never tell me. Anything you can relate from your experience to better help me understand why mine never FFB worked? The unit was one of the highest quality pieces I have seen. Maybe you could do an instructional set up in the game to help me see if it was me or a defective unit. I am willing to re buy it. Cheers and all the best! Greg

      You can just set some prity basic settings and have a good time , its like any ffb device.
      To be honest with fantec wheel just set -
      EN: 900 FF: 35 LIN: OFF NDP: 20 NFR: Off NIN: OFF INT :02 FEI: 70
      FOR: 100 SPR: OFF DPR: 100 BLI: 90 SHO : 70 MPS : AUTO
      And that will work with fast majority of cars , can just add or remove NDP if wheel is too overactive or add remove strength.

      Your comment implies that I'm not aware of a sidewinder , we have talked about it loads on this channel and covered it in multiple videos.
      joysticks like this Moza and the Brunner are new tech in that the motors are of way higher standard to what is in the Sidewinder and the whole telemetry driven software that works independent of direct input again is really quite different , the quality of the joysticks and other aspects are also quite different.
      But sure the sidewinder 1 and 2 did alot of the fundamentals in a great package for £170 and the 2Nm or so force of sidewinder was quite decent as well , though no where near as detailed smooth or dynamic as these newer sticks.
