    This is a spiritual confirmation of the Awakening that is taking place globally. The model of love as well as everything else around us is changing and evolving to a higher level.

      It has absolutely nothing to do with feminism. This is beyond some group movement.
      Men and women and even children are awakening...But then I guess there are those still in a coma...

      Yes I agree. This video is showing only one of the themes of the earth that is beginning the transition, there are so many more and they're changing rapidly. But I would guess love would have to be among the first to change- without that key ingredient behind it, nothing else changes for the better.

    This really hits home for me. So much of what we used to get in community is now only available in relationships, and it's emotionally devastating when we lose a relationship, or can't find someone to be with.

    • @AndersonWave17
      @AndersonWave17 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s hard for men. When given advice that women should have lady talk with their lady friends, we’ll that’s hard to shirk them off when they don’t have friends. You’re their only friend. Makes it difficult for the man to be all that and a best friend and an object of desire.

    I love the fact Esther draws on sociological ideas and theories of post-modernism. Shifting meanings, the simulacra, is what already what Baudillard talked about. Ambiguity and ambivalence is also something that Zygmunt Bauman erote about in his version of liquid modernity.

    • @miriamcassar5125

    If relationships have become as complex as her talk suggests than I wonder how many people will simply say no to relationships when you consider that the complexity and underlying reasons suggests failure is almost guaranteed anyway.

      Because the quality of your relationships determine the quality of your life.

    • @dannyallegra
      @dannyallegra 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Katherine Kelly Failure is not guaranteed, but work. Maybe now more than ever we have to work a lot in our relationships, but because we expect home to be a resting place from work, few want to keep working at home. If you are wilking to work on your relationship then chances of failing are lower, if you are not, you will for sure end up alone.

    oh this is brilliant and you know... it's not just infidelity but even rejection... it is catastrophic when you find out that this person who you gave up 'your life' for ends up just rejecting you! it's almost more understandable if there's an affair but when it's just that they lose interest! this is what is also happening... people deciding actually that they would like to go back to being single like before they had this idea of being in a relationship... I think that people don't really know what they want anymore. it's too complicated. It was easier when things weren't based on what we want.

    Enjoy her presentation and she's clearly brilliant, but I don't love blanket statements like, "Quality of life goes up in marriage for men, and down for women." How are you defining QoL? What are the metrics being applied? I have heard the opposite claim, as well.

    Another self-proclaimed "helpful therapist" in a long line of media savvy celebrities. This one writes books, too. Believe all or any part of her well rehearsed monologue at your own peril. All the narrative is based on academic studies and anecdotal interviews. To call it useable factual information would be a stretch. Perel's blowing smoke.....
