They use this format to express their beliefs among other things. You actually expect listeners to bridle theirs asking us to be "kind". It's not good to be" kind"when something is wrong or evil. Tori wants the Olympics" to be about the athletes" does that apply to the Italian woman athlete who trained in boxing for years of her life only to have her nose broken in 26 seconds by a man "athlete" he's an "athlete" too. It's idiotic to dismiss some athlete's then defend others. Swinging both ways they lost a Subscriber. I'm ashamed of Tori less so Zach even though he is an enabler to his wife Zach tries too hard.

Your PTSD is real! I don’t want to scare you, but we had a flood in our house in October. It took 4 months to get things back to normal. Now 6 months later, our floors are buckling and moisture underneath. So here we go again. We think it’s the installer didn’t prep correctly. Love your family!

My family lived in the sticks/country with zero neighbors. I don't think it affected my siblings and I negatively. We actually got to do tons of fun outdoor activities that town kids could only dream of doing. Looking back, it was an amazing childhood and growing up in the country/woods and I wouldn't trade it for anything!

When our daughter was a young teen at Disneyland, someone stopped us to say that Down Syndrome folks qualified for the handicapped pass. It worked great for a while until she started dictating which attractions we could ride. The next day we didn't get the pass.

At its 1986 Session in Lausanne, the IOC decided to introduce this change. From 1924 to 1992, the Summer and Winter Games were each held in the same year, every four years. This four years period is called "Olympiad". The last Summer and Winter Games held in the same year were in Barcelona (Summer) and Albertville (Winter) in 1992. Since then, the Summer and Winter Games are each still held every four years but the Summer Games are celebrated during the first year of an Olympiad and the Winter Games held in the third year.

Tori you look great in white. I know you guys are stuck on black and gray clothing as you’ve always mentioned. But seriously! You and Zach should wear colors. You both, especially you Tori, look so bright and fresh in colors other than black. Blacks can make you look drab and sickly at times. Honestly, the olympics has sadly never been about the athletes. It’s just a money transfer.
The poor athletes train and train and pour their health, heart, soul and money into participating and get nothing out of it. Even the medal winners only get peanuts and hope for a sponsorship which is still only meant to make the big companies money.
Just like how people don’t like zoos or marine life shows because they say it’s abusive treatment of the animals for someone else’s pleasure and profit.
Then to include pushing controversial social issues on top of it - I personally believe that either they give the athletes waaay more money or cancel it all and use the money for better things.
    So I’ve heard 😂😂
Thanks for another great episode!! ☀️💕

We love to figure out how to do stuff ourselves. We use youtube to guide us and other people that know things to guide us.
We love the olympics !!! the opening ceremony was not appropriate. I would never let my kids watch what they were showing. i love the sports and i support the athletes and sports. i just wish they would improve the opening ceremony. Yes they delayed the olympics 1 year cause of covid.

    hiking
    camping

I'm regards to Disney, I have peripheral neuropathy and to stand in line a long time is hard for me. No I don't get the fast pass or ask for people to change things for me. But I still want to go with my husband because for me even though it's hard I don't want to miss out on things. W just take small breaks so I can last all day.

We took our grandsons who are close to your kids ages, to Sandy fishing ponds. They provide poles and bait and your chance if catching fish of all sizes is very high. Our grandsons love it there! I don't think it's too far from Battleground.

My son is on the autism spectrum. When he was 12, after hearing that Disneyland would give us special passes with a note from his doctor, we definitely took advantage of it. It was the most fun and joyful time for our son who could not handle lines and crowds when he was young. We only did it once, our son grew up and grew into crowds and lines and now is able to handle these things on his own but I will never regret that trip where we were able to go thru the back end of all the rides, not have to wait in lines and give our son his one chance to enjoy and experience Disneyland as a youngster. He really needed that special exemption. But I will add we went during the week and not at peak times. I am sorry Disney did away with this but I get that people abuse these things.

You are very lucky that your son grew out of it, the crowds I mean. My son to his autistic also and that’s one thing he has not outgrown he just can’t stand it. One person can be a crowd to him.

Great talk as always! I speak out against Scientology, so not a big fan of Tom Cruise doing anything with the Olympics. He doesn’t see his daughter because she’s not a Scientologist. Not a good look. I am a Christian and love your podcast!

They used to have the Summer and Winter Olympics in the same year, every 4 years since 1924. They split it in 1992 and Summer & Winter still happen every 4 years, but two years between each other. We have Winter Olympics in 2026, then Summer in 2028, then Winter in 2030.

As for the Olympics and “having it just be about the athletes”…. We aren’t the ones that made it about something else, They did. As a Christian, I cannot support anything or anyone that mocks my Lord and Savior. I love you Tori but I cannot agree with your view.

  • @mienafriggstad3360

🙋‍♀️ from 🇨🇦. You can support the athletes without supporting the evil corrupt Olympic committee. It is normal for all 🇨🇦 students to not go back to school until September. However this year our son is starting school a week early. To do a week of all day Drivers Ed

As a Christian myself, it upsets me to hear you say that “Christians” jumped all over you about supporting the Olympics..due to the opening ceremony content. Maybe I am just a different kind of Christian…but I have no patience for judgemental people. Christians are called to love..leave the judging to God. Grrrrrrr…

If you do banff make sure you check out lake minnewanka. The history on it is soooo cool. A town from the 1800's was flooded and is now under the lake. (It's also a beautiful beach for kids and parents)
Another good road trip is drumhellar alberta. If your kids like dinosaurs they are all over the town! (Little fact: the new Ghostbusters movie was partially filmed there)
