I mean that’s the thing right, she left on amicable terms and found success doing things how she wanted. I’m sure Cover would have given her lots of wiggle room maybe more than most but this way she does her own thing and Cover doesn’t have to go above and beyond for one member, even if it would be one of their highest profile members had she stayed.

It's sweet that Towa was overwhelmed by emotions before and during the time she finally met Coco again. Hope they can keep meet each other after this.
Even if her parting was bittersweet for everyone, Coco went out and not only prospered but soared. Getting a part in not one but _two_ Yakuza games went above and beyond her dream goals, and I couldn't be happier for her. I'm glad she's living her best life out there

Still have massive respect for her just because of the fact that she made sure the antis that harassed her and the HoloMem during that time got put in their place first (By being the test bed for new moderation tools and showing the need for every HoloMem to have their own moderating team, which they didn't have back then) before announcing her graduation.
That's what I call making sure there's no unfinished business. And the antis never were able to mass a harassment campaign that intense again.
Sure, there was the unspoken rumor that she was segregated and put into the "banishment room" to pressure her to quit early, but there's no way to know for certain.
Still sucks that the only time she was ever able to talk to Myth on stream was during Meme reviews and the graduation stream. It's her brainchild and she fought almost everyone to get it off the ground. Some people say losing CN forced the board to face reality and take a gamble on the west. But I'm glad it worked.
Coco will always be the strong foundation that Hololive today is build upon. She came, she saw, she conquered...and she left gracefully.
And somewhere, in a faraway place (Hawaii), I can still hear her roar (for Kiryu)

Nobody in current hololive even comes remotely close to just how batshit insane coco was. God damn I miss her, even though I know she's doing great. Hearing the stories about her hanging out with everyone (especially her friendship with Kanata) was always wonderful. I miss Asacoco for all it's absolutely unhinged segments. I miss her meme reviews.
I implore everyone who is new to the scene and hasn't truly experienced Coco to go back and watch those clips and streams, and remember that what she was doing predated even Myth.
She was the one and only bridge between the English speaking fans and the JP talents.

As much as I miss kaichou interacting with other holos... I think she's in a better place right now. She's doing a lot of things she could not do in hololive, and she even achieved some dreams through it.
Either way, I'm glad that they can still talk to each other like this.

Honestly, I think she'd probably be proud of what Hololive has become, as the agency really has gotten its act together and succeeded admirably against... a lot of odds since Coco's departure. And a lot of that is strictly BECAUSE of Coco, whose influence and whose "scandal" (if you can even call it a "scandal," since all she did was mention Taiwan!) really helped shape Hololive's policies and the general direction of the company these past 3 years.
...But indeed, she might have a tough time if she were still working there, since a lot of what she wants to do, she couldn't.
But then again, considering some of the crap other Hololive talents get away with... maybe she'd be OK after all! ;)

Coco is sure as hell proud to be working on holo because when that taiwan fiasco happened and Cover pressured to choose 1 vtuber (Coco) vs a whole nation branch (China) and Cover decided to choose Coco over China, they abandoned a whole branch, their blibli channel which is mind you have a huge follower at that time and also half of hololive fanbase before EN are probably coming from China this is also probably why current holo feels so "strict" over any agency its more about protecting their own vtuber rather than investor money

I don't doubt however she has taken them out to dinner or lunch on the odd occassion. We all know she is a friend to DDK aka Calli, or Mori as she has been instructed to go by. But go to the office, not likely, she might want to take a tour of the new studio but that's probably about it.

Just like with others who aren't around anymore, she's just not talked about as often because there's often no particular reason to that's relevant.
As for visiting the new studio, yeah probably not though. It's a place of business afterall.

Coco set the bar, drew the lines and starting lines for a lot of things especially the EN Branch. Coco was a great talent that could only be contained for so long till she just had to go and be free

I started really watching holo with 4th gen debut
they were all little babies and then they grew up so fast 😭😭😭
Wasn't really into Hololive in the Coco days but I really enjoyed her streams as Kson, especially with Pikamee back in the day. I have no doubt she'd have been one of the biggest Holo stars if she was still in, her crossover/bilingual abilities really help her to build a huge audience and we saw how huge the potential English audience (or the number of people interested in learning English with Vtubers) was once Gura and En came along.
That's actually really great that Towa and Coco still keep in touch after all these years
We will always treasure our time with coco. Before EN she was the most realiable way for us to actually understand streams and not relly on passion JP lol. Its crazy that some of the newer fans might never understand how big an explosion gen 4 was and looking back it feels a bit like filthyfrank you know. He burnt to brightly and trancended. Coco and te OG clippers will always be the ones that took hololive to the rest of the world setting it up to explode at the start of 2020.

While Hololive has become more loose with the rules (in the first place, they were forced to by TH-cam and sponsors), Coco has somewhat itirated that the singing/dancing isn't her thing. With Holofes, Anniversary 3D Lives, Year End Countdown, and HoloShuffle, she can't really escape the idol stuff that she's uncomfortable with.

@@PrimeGamator the issue isn't whether or not the audience likes it, as much as the fact that hololive as a whole has started somewhat demanding or giving more opportunities to members willing to perform in activities that lean towards idol stuff (without necessarily being strict with how pure or untouched they need to be, just maintaining some manner of deniability from what I've seen).
Like, they seem to even be enforcing that on holostars too. So if the talent doesn't want to do any of that, they certainly won't wish to remain for long. Two members of stars left most likely because of that, so Coco out of all other holomems would certainly prefer to bail sooner rather than later by this point (after she was already being constrained continuously during the last few months she was still with the company)

Hololive talents are expected and even obligated to participate in those activities, not to mention regularly scheduled dance/voice training sessions. If a streamer doesn't care for the idol side of things, that's still a ton of time and effort they're required to spend on something they don't like.

If i’m being honest, I never knew about coco, I’ve only heard of her and played as her in Idol Showdown, but playing as her in that game really made me want to watch her… Though given the circumstances in which she graduated, I never really got a chance to experience that. It's probably something that just didn't translate well, but it's interesting that Holoive has become more restrictive over time. Maybe she meant that their schedules are more controlled with events? Hololive has had a few graduations and firings by now, but they still have a relatively high retention rate considering how long they've been operating, so they must be keeping their talents happy.

The dream would be a "Very Special Occasion" (a festival or something, in the future) when Hololive would allow a "one hit performance" of graduated alumni to return with their genmates. Just a "special guest star" appearance, maybe with an anniversary for the whole corp... at least for those graduated in amicable terms (... Coco and Sana are the first two I'm thinking now...).

I have to say, the best part about Coco was how she managed to edge ever so close to the line so much as to stand on it but not break it and get away with it. The restrictions made her creative, watching her adapt and overcome those hurdles was fun.
Now that there is no line to begin with where she is... I dunno man, it's just not the same (for me). Not even mentioning the difference in model, community, etc.
Welp, I was mainly a clip watcher of her, so I guess I have no idea what I am talking about (but I did watch her regularly whenever she collabed with EN, her meme reviews and anything I could understand).
For better or worse, the status quo is better for both sides.
Now she do her own things and have stronger audience that tolerated no bullshit. And she have very solid foundation with her Taiwan based audience.
Bringing all those back to Hololive will only harm both sides. Especially knowing how Hololive finally passed the tides only with the help of time and acting like it wasn't there in the first place. Her going back will force them to see it in front of their face again.
