Holo became number one agency both in Japan and worldwide, EN is growing rapidly, JP is getting recognized by big leagues, 1 EN concert, 2 summer concerts and many solo concerts. 4th gen alone have loads of achievements being that 3 members already had their own sololives (Watame even had 2)
Holo 2021 and Holo 2024 are basically 2 completely different agencies now, or rather 2024 is a massive upgrade from 2021. If Coco era is golden age, 2023 era is platinum age that will set Hololive in the VTubing industry for decades to come. Cover did not let Coco down and continued on the legacy that she left behind
Hololive is definitely more polished and developed now but nothing could replicate the magic of the vtuber world like 2020 - early 2021 though. Everything was new and yet to be explored, everyone was excited what the new medium would bring. It's like the period of a vtuber after debut that hooks every tourists into trying them out and eventually stablizing after, but back then it was the whole vtuber scene.

@@rubyyy911ID got their first solo concert tho (viv:ID) and it's also a tour (soon in new york). So it's a big win for them and one more step to get ID into more recognition
@@rubyyy911 underrated among the international audience perhaps but they've achieved total domination in Indonesia (especially since THAT other agency decided to screw their ID branch thus giving the ID market on a silver platter to Cover). They managed to organize a concert tour across SEA + US, collabed with Indomie thus reaching a mainstream brand awareness, and Kobo also collabed with Tokopedia and other big name youtubers in Indonesia.
Just thinking back to Kson's lore video, about how she wanted her old friends to thrive and achieve their dreams in her absence. Hearing "I've gotten stronger" from someone she used to worry about must have made her so happy.

Coco gave the rest of gen 4 strength. Back then they lacked confidence to getting along with senpai and full of worries, Coco taught them to be optimistic and don't afraid to be themselves.
I love that Towa got to see her friend after such a long time, but I also love how she acknowledges how much she has grown since Coco's graduation. She is still the goofy devil with the beautiful voice and huge heart she has always been, but I feel she has gained a lot of confidence in herself as well.
I often remember how Towa said "Will you really not be here tomorrow?" on Coco's graduation. I know it's all good now but the memory still makes me sad...

My last memory of Coco, apart from the graduation stream and the Yagoo interview, it was when she created the KiryuuKai University. So many good times along with the Dragon.
I remember that final month radish spot revolution unlimited (Botan breaking down in Ark) all the collabs,Miko getting the speech to text AI ask for death and the graduation itself I still miss Coco it'd be so great to see her meet all the new gens that came after her (its alot)
i believe coco's graduation is the trigger for her to boost up her courage to collab with her gen mates although it was late. i could see the change after coco's announcement of her graduation that towa started collabing with her genmates and other holomems more often than before. she also invades offcollabs of others with confidence that she used to lack before. towa's character progression is one of the most endearing to see on a vtuber talent imo because her wake up call really hit her personally and she did make an action to change.

I think they just be too busy, cus ik for a fact Choco does meet with KSon often enough, Mel too to a lesser extent met her more often.
It'll just depend on how swamped they are schedule wise. With how holo is now with more projects than ever before, collabs, lives/concerts, etc. People do forget they are still a Corpo, and that comes with all sorts of obligations as an employee that they have unlike being Indie.
So just a bit unfortunate for Towa that her scheduling was probably overlapping a ton with Kson preventing them from meeting up. Probably will be easier-ish now that Kson isn't chasing to get into her husband's game lol.

Coco's graduation was extremely unfortunate, she was clearly loved by a lot of hololive members since they still mention her somewhat regularly.
Arguably, I think it was for the best. It’s extremely unlikely she would have gotten to be in the Like A Dragon games if she hadn’t graduated

As a newcomer to the vtuber rabbit hole and as a new viewer of Coco's new life as Kson, there's really a lot to admire about her. Literally everyone I know in the vtubing community reveres her and would do anything to meet her. All that is a testament to the influential entity that is Kiryu Coco that I can only imagine as a fan looking in from the outside. Whoever is Coco is to her friends and peers, we can all tell that she is a great person through and through. How I wish to meet someone like her.... no, I STRIVE to be someone like her.
At that time (2019), I just watched Coco because her content itched my thirst for Filthy Frank esque content.
kinda crazy to think that the amount of time since she graduated is now almost double the time she spent in Hololive. It still feels like she only left last July

One of the things I’ve noticed about hololive generally is that it seems to be a net positive for everyone involved. Multiple holomems have stories about how they have grown as people because of hololive. It’s very encouraging to hear.
Towa's still got the same softness and affection inside but it's wonderful how easily she does collabs now, and I gotta imagine Coco was a big part of that, especially with all the multilingualism.
I love how Towa celebrates her own growth while still maintaining the childlike love for her genmate. Such purity 💜

I think more than 90%+ of Hololive fans want Coco to come back to Hololive.
I think most would prefer her to be happy where she is than to be unhappy in Hololive, but would very much welcome it if she checked back in every so often. I've had similar thoughts about Sana: she graduated because she couldn't keep up with the physical demands of the idol business, rather than creative/managerial differences, so it seems slightly more likely that she'd reappear for random one-off collabs.
This is healing to watch, for both Towa kenzoku and Kiryu-kai retirees ❤

After all this time, Towa has done so much to prove her strength, talent, and hard work within Hololive. It's astounding to think that she is still trailing Coco's 1.4M subs, but she'll catch up soon enough. I've really come to enjoy Towa's content, and i hope she acknowledges that she doesn't have to look up to Coco in some reverent light, but rather as equals.

Imagine a Hololive concert running live and, all of a sudden, the lights goes off, and you hear a familiar voice: "It feels good to be back home, mother...!".
You can see losing her leader really hit her hard back then. Glad they're still keep in touch with each other.

I still remember their first genmate minecraft collab they all did. Towa was like a shy lost puppy trying to keep close to Coco, but Coco kept venturing off from the group and trying to do her own thing, it was so cute
I'm so proud of all of my girls, former members as well. They've all come so far in the four years I've been watching them. I still miss Coco but I know she's flourishing, and I'm just so happy that her genmates are flourishing as well.

Feels like Towa has been growing as a person the moment she, Botan, and Pekora began to collab. Not saying it's because of those two but plenty of things happened after that. The whole Towa vs gen5, HoloEN coming to Japan and Towa taking care of them, Apex tournaments, VCR, and many more. Towa was never really on my radar back in the day. But these days any clip of her is just pure comedy/entertainment gold.
