"door de bomen het bos niet meer zien" is a very common and often used saying in Dutch, about all things that are too much to choose from... you can't choose anymore because you cannot see the wood because of all the trees 😄

Always enjoy his show talking about an item in thee news. The way he does that is informative with lots of humor and always makes you think.
Several times the items in his show where he explains sertan issues made it to the news. He makes it difficult items understandable on a humorous way.

You're right, plants have defense chemicals in their stems, roots etc, to prevent it from being eaten. However their fruits don't because it wants you to eat those because you spread the seeds in them.

15:22 Products from animals are way easier to digest then plant products. Plants contain cellulose which is hard to break down. That's why herbivores have a long digestive system and why we kook our food (apart from killing bacteria.)

You are so right. If I take milk directly from the farmer it is not drinkable after 2/3 days, but it taste so amazing. I love it. It is with everything. I try to buy everything straight from the farmer. Luckily I am able to in the town I live. There are a lot of different farmers and everything taste so much better from them then from the factory. I can recommend it. Only keep in mind that all you buy directly from the farmers you can not preserve it long. Just a couple of days.

Just be a lttle carefull with the milk, "raw "milk indeed taste excellent in my opnion but does have some potential dangers. As long as the cow is healty not maney just for those of the more lactose intolerant. Now since you are obviuosly not in the risk category enjoy. But especially for first time adult users do drink just a little and wait how youre body reacts ( if ok keep alert for a few weeks to a couple of months it can take that much time to feel the more nasty effects). Also if you wanna loose a couple of pounds don't drink this milk not because its bad but because its way to rich.

You're right about everything. And the worst thing is that they just keep moving on to the next kind of ingredients once they think people pay more attention to it. And to be succesful doing this, they also convince people that they're in serious danger when not complying to their advices. But eating without liking it for its taste as a habit is not very healthy either. It could be healthy for your body if you can deal with it without taking something extra, but it's not for the mindset if you can't, because eventually you'll want more to feel satisfied, resulting in gaining weight insteadof losing it.
For example, people tend to cook the meals almost saltless. I know that salt is an ingredient in a lot of products, but instead of cooking using just a bit less salt, all these advices kinda scares people of using any of it at all. The consequences are that food considered to be healthy, like boiled potatoes and vegetables, don't taste well anymore. "You can add salt yourself if you like." Yes, but that would cause you to have more salt in your food than when you boil it in salted water, which is not your intention if you care for me, now is it.
Tasteless food will cause you to take snacks that you certainly don't need later on. The mindset plays a role in all of this too. It all may be good for the body at a first glance, but if you're not eating with a bit of pleasure for it because the mind doesn't agree with it, then you will eventually take more snacks as extras and gain weight instead of losing it.

i have lost weight because of one heck of a tip from a diet book, when you have 'the munchy's' stuff yourself until you litterallly are sick.
Really until you are SICK, inlcuding 'the kitchen sink' stuffed.
Dont eat stuff you dont like, try everything you might be pleasantly surprised(or not😂).
I never liked boiled potatoes, and the diet book said cut out the potatoe starch from my food as much I could\wanted.
No i'm not gonna tell you the author nor its title. It worked for me in 2008 140kg since 2018 until now +/_70kg, go slow.

Did you know that some plants do have a defence mechanism?
it's not that usefull I think, i mean, they cant run away or anything, but for example, the smell you get from cutting your grass is essentially the cut grass signalling the other grass that danger is coming. its essentially kind off the same as the smell and sweat humans get when they are scared or panic

    • @daisyslooters4204
      @daisyslooters4204 ปีที่แล้ว

In my opinion you should always listen to your body. It's good to try new things out, but your own body is better evidence than just wat "experts" say. I tried different diets and I feel the best with the carnivore diet. I only eat meat for couple years already. For some other people it may not work, because everyone is slightly different. The "Schijf van Vijf" national dutch advice is just a safe food diet, because it's known for many years in our modern sociaty. Trying new things out can improve your health or not. It's at your own risk.

3:06 The whole thing about maybe the vegetables are sentient or become/develop (what you said), or what if. sorry that is a ridiculous argument., that is not what they are now. and evolution takes really really long usually. it sounds like your argument comes from Neil deGrasse Tyson, (because it sort of sounds the same). and if plants can feel or have the same emotions as animals than eating less meat is still better for the plants as well, because the animals we eat need to eat more plants than we if we eat the same energy directly from the plants. , i watched a lot of reactions from you, and this is my first commend, i like you and i don't want you to have bad arguments., some just don't want to say they just like the taste of animals more that the feelings of them, and speak around it with really out there whatifs (its interesting to think about, but not really sound for arguments or just-sayings like this)., it can be that this don't match with what you said, and you meant it different.
The thing about the quality of food, yes i get that., also i like that you watch Lubach, and other things from the netherlands, really like seeing outsider perspective on the land i live in.
good episode of lubach, totally agree with it
