    Chatgpt works by scouring the internet and compiling thousands of results to find formatting and common information! The likelihood is that this is a combination of MANY recipes per recipe it gives you!

    You can get a specific as you want with the system it's actually really interesting full stop for example you could say please generate a recipe for a banana caramel custard cookie cake and it would do exactly that. You don't have to limit it to things that may actually go together either, you can do a mystery box type of thing and it will come out with something which may or may not be great but is definitely pretty cool to experience even if you don't repeat the experience.

    I have a chocolate tip which comes from a real person, not AI. Ina Garten, The Barefoot Contessa, recommends adding a spoonful of instant coffee, or brewed coffee in place of some liquid to boost the chocolate flavor. You don't taste the coffee, but it intensified the chocolate flavor. I've tried it and it works!

    Double yolkers are usually young hens (pullets) starting to lay for first time and also as days starting to have longer light they are starting to get laying again now after their winter break

    So the way it works is that it's actually generating recipes (or whatever you ask for), but is probably using existing ones from the internet as inputs (kind of like getting inspiration). So if you search for something that's quite common like a brownie recipe, you're more likely to get a good result than if you're searching for something obscure like a recipe for aubergine flapjacks.
    The thing to remember is that it has no way of testing these recipes, so unlike one you might find on say BBC Good Food you'll be the first person to make that recipe.
    I have to say though that your results were a LOT better than Ann Reardon's when she tried it a while back. So either you put in better search terms or it's got a machine learning component and is actually improving over time.

    Are public libraries popular in England? I like to browse cookbooks at the library, pick one, and then pick a recipe from it. That could be a fun video.

    • @hannahk1306
      @hannahk1306 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are, but a lot of them are closing or have limited opening hours. Basically they're funded by local councils and the councils have had their budgets cut. Their only other income is from things like printing charges and selling old books.
      I've never thought about getting a recipe book out from the library before though. I agree it could be a good video for Grace to try - maybe trying a new cuisine or something?

    ChatGPT is not really an AI. It is just a really smart search engine (currently) that will pick search result across the Internet based on certain algorithms.

    • @WinterWind
      @WinterWind ปีที่แล้ว

      No, it's a large language model which isn't exactly what you're describing either. If you plug in the answer provided by chat gpt you won't find that exact information elsewhere online written in the exact same form because it isn't copying text exactly. What it is doing is aggregating all the information in it's database and then answering your question by predicting the next word it should put in the sentence

    It uses a technique called deep learning to understand and generate human-like text. Specifically, it uses a type of deep learning algorithm called a transformer network, which was introduced in a 2017 research paper by Google.
    During training, ChatGPT is fed a large dataset of text, such as books, articles, and web pages. It uses this text to learn the patterns and relationships between words, and to build a representation of human language that it can use to generate new text.
    When someone types a question or statement to ChatGPT, the model uses this learned representation of language to understand the input and generate a response. It does this by breaking down the input text into a sequence of tokens (words and punctuation), and then predicting the most likely next token to generate a response. This process is repeated multiple times to generate a complete response.
    To improve the quality of its responses, ChatGPT is regularly updated with new text data and fine-tuned on specific tasks or domains, such as customer support or technical assistance. (Chat GPT wrote this)

    If I understand correctly, the way it works is that there’s a database that collected data up to the year 2021. Then using this database, the information is processed. ChatGPT then uses this database to predict the most likely next word based on the prompt. So it’s basically making things up one word at a time based on what it knows from the database. It’s not copying and pasting nor using the internet in real time. It’s just guessing what word makes the most sense to put next.

    U.S. viewer here. When I find a recipe in grams, I use my scale because it has both cups and grams. I believe here in the U.S we aren't as big on using a scale for baking. But I do like using a scale over measuring cups. Or........I ask Alexa to convert it lol.

    • @hanzib31
      @hanzib31 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's interesting as I've never seen a scale that has cups in the UK 😅 also, how does that work for high density items? eg 1/2 cup of flour is lighter than 1/2 of brown sugar!

    • @hannahk1306
      @hannahk1306 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cups are a volume measurement (less accurate for solids), whereas grams are a weight measurement. In the UK our scales are usually in grams and ounces (occasionally they also have ml, but this isn't accurate for anything that doesn't have the same density as water).

    Pre-grated parmesan smells like vomit and I personally think it tastes terrible. If you buy a block (I buy a small, this is a guess because I don’t have any at the moment and I usually just grab the one I always buy & love, 500g block of parmesan; the taste is completely different. It’s so delicious and it doesn’t have that disgusting smell. I’d love to see you try a block because the tastes are night & day. I love cutting some and having it on toast, delicious 😋 😀

    ChatGPT is great for recipes and craft in general... it pulls favourite items from across the internet. Yours looked very tasty and edible. Although I wouldn't personally use ChatGPT as it all appears to be very sinister - a one sided view. I'm very free thinking... I try things (recipes, books I read etc) for myself and if they don't work out I don't do it again. This may sound very off the wall and crazy - but to me ChatGPT is turning the world into Gilead.
