I'm convinced that the gameplay in these games is actually a super slow motion replay of what's actually happening. In reality, to an outside viewer, it probably just looks like they're teleporting around and making explosions Dragonball style and probably sounds like a nuclear machine gun
If this helps, on my first playthrough I didn't use styles at all(it was my first dmc game and my english isn't very good, so I didn't understand shit from tutorials)
I haven't used royal guard ever. I'm a DMC guy since 2007 played all dmc1 3 4 and running 5 for the first time now. Royalguard is freaking incredible when you do a perfect parry and release, straight up obliterates the opponent
