Ever since I played the ending of Halo 3, I've been haunted by the thought of Cortana all alone on the ship for many years. When Halo 4 trailers revealed that it was a difficult time for her because of the rampancy AI's experience after a certain time in service, I really wanted to make a tribute song about that. She is one of my favorite characters in video games. :)
I feel really attached to the music from previous Halo games, composed by the awesome Marty O'Donnell, so it was fun trying build the tribute around that.

The nods to the main theme and music cues, the guitar riff, the piano blink at the end, the vocals and the attention to detail feel like Halo, it's sad, it's hopeful, it's breathtaking, it's heartbreaking, it's everything Halo was even these years later

I remember Halo 2's "Unforgotten" because my wife passed away around the time Halo 2 came out, and that piece always reminded me of her. Then Halo 3 came out, with "Never Forget." reminding me of her again.
And now I hear this. I know she won't wake up. I won't see her again until I fall into that forever sleep myself. But until then, I'll never forget.

This kind of music is on the same tier as MoonLight Sonata! Malukah, this is so beautiful! Halo is one of IF not THE best Sci fi FPS in existence and one of the best Universes in Video game history. This brought tears to my eyes!

This song rips my heart out. Cortana's ending starting in Halo 4 and ending in Infinite just tears my soul apart. This song fits perfectly with the fargments from which it turns out Cortana tries to save the construct that the Chief carries with him in Infinite. You break my heart, Malukah. I have rarely found a song that hits my situation so deeply that I sat in front of the screen with tears in my eyes. it's just a game that the song is about, but the text can be transferred 1 to 1 to my situation. Cortana is my wife, who was longingly waiting for my return from the "frozen sleep", which I associate with the depression I have suffered from for the past six years.
unfortunately it took too long and too much broke in my wife during the time of "being alone" ... so she left me and we will probably no longer find each other.
I was also her sword and shield, but that alone was not enough!
This is probably the end of 18 years of relationship! Really hard!

Yeah, one thing that I quite enjoyed with the Halo series, at least Halos 1-4, Master Chief and Cortana completing each other, or at least accentuating one another.
Chief was your super soldier that probably didn't have much of a life beyond combat and killing, then you have Cortana that was human-like.
That melody from 'Never Forget' is as memorable and moving as some of the best pieces ever written: Thomas Tallis' third tune, Moonlight sonata, Leyla, etc. etc.
Sadly, it was written for a computer game, so it's not considered a serious piece of art by anyone who's not a gamer.
I would leave Halo 3 in the menu playing in the background just to hear this peace over and over. :D

This song reminds me of the time many years ago when I first saw that ending scene in Halo 3 and thought Cortona & Chief were doomed to drift in a void of space forever. That early autumn night of its release 13 years past, sitting on the edge of my bed in the dark bedroom illuminated only by the light of the TV, I sat there as the screen faded to black, and there was no more light in the room, but the xbox stilled hummed away.
Your vocals of Never Forget feel as if it’s a melodic equivalent of a memory link to the past; of the times of the friends I had, and to my life as it was then. I’ve never felt so moved by a singular piece of music related to Halo before, and this probably speaks true to many others as well. Thank you for creating this beautiful and melancholic song.

First heard this shortly after she posted it. To this day, still one of my favorite pieces of music. Not just by her, but in general. I love Halo (evidenced by my name) and this song is not only beautiful in both performance and lyric, but also brilliantly captured the sadness and strength of the relationship between Cortana and Chief. Amazing work, Malukah! almost 4 years later and it's still in my favorites, and I still listen to it frequently.

Even after 11 years, 343 still struggles to capture the true essence of Halo. However, driven by their love and passion for the franchise, fans have created stunning works of art that embody the soul of Halo. Despite the passage of time, Frozen Sleep still stands the test of time, evoking the feeling of hearing it for the first time with its beautiful melody and compelling lyrics.

I LOVE the use of Never Forget's tune. I can't say enough how the song seems to encapsulate how Cortana feels during her literal isolation, her only companion being frozen in cryosleep as she descends into rampancy.

Nah. the problem lies not with 343i, but with Microsoft. They should have let it just end. No continuation of it can possibly give the original games justice.
Yeah. The ending to 3 was epic. Bringing it all back may have made for fun games, but bringing Spartans back wasn't smart in my opinion, and there is no way to ever capture the epic feelings the original 3 brought, especially the ending monument to the sacrifices made by Master Chief and Cortana.
Your songs Soothe my Soul each time I hear you, like many fans did before. To any Video Editors out there who are reading kindly upload a video Consisting of Cortana and the hard time she had gone through and include Malukah in a transparent frame on either side while the Halo cinematic are going on in the back
