Hey Scuba. I would not have skipped the glueing part. Tho it probably will hold up fairly good without but glueing it also gives it some extra durability

Ikeas's is one of the nicest dresser, have a higher one in oak. I have IKEA, from Sweden with love. So that "fake " one I don't know..
