This is not how most of us LDS people live, and no we are not taught to serve our husbands. We are taught to be partners and to serve EACH OTHER in a loving and respectful way.
As a member of the LDS faith I'll just say two things. These people are living SOOOO far outside the faith that it's offensive they'd associate themselves with it at all quite frankly. Some have been excommunicated, others disciplined, and some have never even been baptized into the church at all! And second, the ONLY reason they do use the "Mormon" label is a shameless way to get clicks and views. And the audience eats it up because it's popular to hate and judge Lds people (not that these people are LDS, but just in general). So you should know going in that the whole thing is a farce.

It’s obscene for a TBM LDS member like my 91 year old dad. They should really be excommunicated, not just Jack Mormons. We do not believe in women being subservient to their husband's, there isn't a rule that you must have babies by 21 or even be married by then, there are more women enrolled at BYU then men currently. The majority of the behaviors exhibited by these women would disfellpwship them from the church. This is not representative of our faith at all. If you have questions about our religion or lifestyle, odds are you have a coworker or neighbor who is a member, ask them. I guatentee it's nothing like this show.

Also, no one is being taught by the leaders of our church to have children by 21 or to serve their husband’s every desire. 🙄 Some young women may have learned that in their family, but we are taught that husbands and wives are equal partners and should show each other with love and mutual respect. Also, you can get married and have children at whatever age you want. This new show does not make me angry, but it does make me sad to think that people outside of my faith will think that anything they are doing or saying is a representation of what we believe. Also, I haven’t heard the expression “Jack Mormon” in a while, it made me laugh. 😂

Yes women are raised to believe women must service their husband an be available food love sex be the good quiet girl. I'm lucky I escaped this and had the balls to at 15. Not Mormon tho but was in other religions my parents embraced . That mixed with a divorced home made child hood challenging for me. An yes it takes years to recover 40 now an only just getting my life together. Oh an god for bid your lgtbqia ive expearined shunning an quiet shunning wherenyour still present on thebfamily but then they dont speak to you for months.
