I feel sorry for Statler. To me it seems that Dempsey is taking advantage of her weakness, but at the same time I wish Statler would stand up for herself. With Statler seemingly wallowing in misery 90% of the time, or telling Dempsey she thinks she's being scammed, i don't think they will stay together. I also find it hypocritical that Statler didn't sell her car, to keep it for a backup plan, but is upset Dempsey has saved 500 pounds from the sale of her car.
