Thanks a ton for the video.... This absolutely helped me do the job on my own H3. I appreciate you taking the time to record & post the video up onto TH-cam. Cheers!
The GM site says to STAY AWAY FROM DEX III, and only use DEXRON VI. Dexron VI is a lot more stable at higher temperatures and lasts longer. It can also be used to top off dexron 3, however, you can't use dexron 3 if you already have dexron 6 originally in your trans, or if it has been flushed with dexron 6.
This is great information. Can you tell me why does my hummer say it’s in regular everyday 4-wheel-drive but feels like it’s stuck in 4 wheel drive lock??? 😢😢😢
Very cool. What about the service bulletin this says you actually have to take out the speed sensor plug and fill from there to add extra because the fill plug is to low. It's not on all H3 s but you did not specify which h3 you have. But I think it's a extra 500ml or something....
Hi Riskybiss, Removing the sensor plug wouldn't be necessary for this edition (2006). Normally if you have the proper fill pump, it will fill up completely without leakage.
I Put synthetic oil in the motor and synthetic oil in the and rear differential. Now I am going to put Castrol in the transmission and in the transfer case... I know it's probably my imagination but at 200,000 miles with all these synthetics the hummer H3 runs like super nice

Chevy Stealership here in oregon says my 2006 Hummer H3 transfer case calls for Dexron III !

@@hummerh3howtosif you read the label right there is says to do so 😂 you have to added more trough it
What’s the year of your hummer?
Is good to replace with dexron vi if my owner manual says to use manual transmission fluid(discontinued)?
Is the transmission fluid different from the transfer case fluid in the 2006 hummer h3 and if so what should I use for the regular transmission fluid?
same Dexron VI
I heard trans max castroll was really good stuff.... The same transmission fluid you use in the hummer H3 transmission automatic
Was wondering if anyone knows what the black electrical part by the first plug he removed is?
4wd actuator. I'm changing mine today.

Do you need to add 0.25L through the speed sensor hole or no???
I wouldn't once the case is full.
You never really show where it was located. You just got under the truck not sure which the back or front
it's the transfer case bro
