David Blaine's double lift is just beautifull! You have to respect the amount of hours of work in there. And the way he controls the crowd is just unique. That's why he's one of the best.
+Merugu Vikram Reddy I am well aware of the different methods he is using to preform this routine. But the routine is still the same as I said a year ago. Magicans always do their own variation on this routine. Some make it seem like magic, others with a more "card sharp" style, table riffles, and maybe dealing the card to the person, making him cut to the card. The ambitious card trick is still just a broad way of saying "I'm going to trick you with the same trick over and over and over again". And pls, everyone, stop talking about names of moves and so on. The less people know, the better the performance.
Not everyone reads magician handbooks. I understand what your saying, it's a very basic trick. However, still enjoy the performance regardless of knowing how it's done.
Almost worse than the keyboard warriors who journey TH-cam to blast apart tricks are the ones who have heard and/or Google'd a few terms and believe they are experts in the vernacular.
At 1:15 when he bends the 4 of diamonds, he cuts the deck and carries the bent card over with his right hand, he then uses his thumb to make it look like the bent card was still in his left hand but really it is still in his right, he then puts the bent card(the 4 of diamonds) back on the top of the deck and reveals it.
at 00:29, he cut the deck with his left hand, but placed the signature (4) as the 2nd card in the deck. u can see the slight black line between the top card and the cards below when he pushed it in. then he flips 2 cards to reveal it. followed by putting the top card below, this time flipping only one card to reveal it. notice the card only makes the crisp sound the 2nd time round because the first time, 2 cards were being flipped.
part4, at 1:26, merge the cards into 1 deck, and press down the top crimped card with thumb and middle finger of left hand, while maintaining the crimped middle portion of the deck. at the snap of the right hand, release the hold on left hand. and the top card crimps up. the weight of the cards will rest down on the middle crimped card when the hold is released and its crimp disappears.
Steve Garza Just before he snapped his fingers, he was holding the top card flush to the rest of the deck with his thumb and forefinger and then releases when he snaps.
omg. that move which you call switch was not secret or hidden. he didn't intend to hide it. he crimped the card, and slided it into the middle of the deck, and then it jumped right up to the top. this trick is the basics.
Cologne Magician I agree, but he didn't. The illusion is how he constantly keeps that 4 on top even though you swear it's going into the middle of the deck. It takes skill, practice and DEMOMS ;-)
OMG I respect this guy so much because he's not out trying to make a show on something you know is not real and try to be cocky about it just to gain money. Role model and ideal "David Blaine"
when he crimps the card he is showing you a pre crimped card in his left while the signed card is in his right hand. he splits the deck in half and makes it look like he is showing you the top half when it is really the bottom half.
most of it is easy apart from the last part where he has to control the card into his left hand and then use misdirection while he brings that card to his mouth.
1st signed bc he doesnt want u to think theres duplicants. then slickly puts the card in 2nd card/ double lift/puts 1st card in deck then lifts real card/same concept throughout and when he bends card its really 2 cards but steals away top and holds signed card with right pointer finger for pop. focuses attn to look at deck and brings left hand to mouth for finale..
part 3, flip the 2 cards back and proceed to flip only the top signed card, and then cracking the card to show it's a single card at 1:08. next, when he crimped the cards, he crimped 2 cards. at 1:16, u can clearly see his left thumb pushing down on the 2 cards to move the top on over to his left hand. while the signature crimped card was on the right hand deck. press down the crimped signature card with left index finger, and show the audience the other crimped card with right hand.
The second to last trick is super easy but complicated to perform..his card is second from the top..and first he just picks the first top card and shows that is not the main card..then he does the double lift puts the 2 cards face up on the pinkie break then bends both of the cards. And the last part..he is taking about half of the deck in his left hand and slides the top (fake) card in second deck and is holding tight the deck in his right hand from the edges and with his index finger above the card to keep it straight where his card is still there but now first on top..he shows to the crowd that his card(the fake one) is bent but at the same time he is holding the main card from the edges which is also bent...the he just releases his fingers and the main card that was always on top pops out...😉
part 2, at 00:49, when he pushes the signature card out, he left one card above it from the deck he holds with his left hand, covering it and quickly turning it over. and pushes it back before turning it back. this is to prevent the audience from seeing its not the top card. next casually put the top card into the deck and merge the deck, by now the top card is still the signed card. when he said it's not the card, he was flipping 2 cards as usual. no cracking the card to show it's 1 card.
Does he move the red four to the bottom of the Right deck and try and slight it under when he setting up the card to be "pushed in" or did he insert it as the second highest card in the left deck?
He does the switch at 1:48 hes a master card trickster so its very hard to see, but the 4 ends up either on the top or the bottom of the deck in his left hand (right hand on screen), then you notice that hand when he tells her to "push it in" is going towards his face. then the next words he says.. "All the way" You can easily hear he has the card in his mouth. I'm honestly surprised I caught this one .
@AyKay47 I'll give the trick away since I already know how it's done and what it's called. When he puts the card into the middle he takes the single card and does a palm while bringing the deck without the card forwards. The audience is all looking at the deck while he explains some random stuff to get them to concentrate on the deck. Then he draws the attention up to his mouth. This trick does not involve the camera... you think the camera is going to be concentrating onhis mouth?>
and its easy to tell, the actors weren't really laughing at the end, but while he was doing those amazing fast card switches, those reactions were real :p
@DamjanTubin96 What he did was that at 1:46 he pretends to put the "card" on top of the deck in his left hand which he puts in the deck in his right hand. Then when he tells them to push the "card" in the deck, he puts the real "card" in his mouth when everybody is watching the person push the "card" back in the deck, That's how he ends up with the real card in his mouth :)
For the mouth trick, he puts a card from the other half of the deck on top of the selected card when he's sliding the selected card out for the audience to see the card. So the selected card is covered with another card when he slides it back in to the deck. So he takes the random card and acts like it's the selected card, and he is misdericting them, while hes putting the card in his mouth. All of the trick are just double lift, and covering the selected card with other random cards.
@asasasasasas50 yes the card was already in his mouth, every one was to busy looking at the "chosen" card to be looking at his face, especially when he moves his hand forward and asks something of them.
part5, as usual, at 1:48-1:49, the top card is being pushed into the deck on the right hand, but the real signature card is the 1st card in his left hand's deck. proceed to put card into mouth and subsequently sounding muffled. trick explained. comments welcome.
1. you do a marlo tilt and put the card in (2nd position in the deck) 2. Double lift to show their card 3. put the "actual" first card in the deck blah blah gets repetitive and i dun wanna get in trouble :P but it's called the ambitious card routine you can search it up on youtube there should be tutorials
@AyKay47 I've seen that trick live, the 'jumping' card trick. My friend showed it to me and I didn't believe him until he did it. But he wouldn't tell me how. I showed him this video and told him to make it appear in his mouth, but he couldn't.
@asasasasasas50 So did I. It's a classic of magic and I do it all the time. Any experienced magician will tell you that trick is possible in front of normal people, just requires misdirection, not actors.
The camera guy has no idea what hes doing.
LMFAO
jetnut89 David almost had to slap that dummie around :L
because he is fascinated by blaine
nah he knows whats going on
jetnut89 looks like he knew what was going to happen but he would’ve ruined the trick 😂
The level of sleight of hand in this is amazing! So many hours he must've practiced this.
No he went to Hogwards
David Blaine's double lift is just beautifull! You have to respect the amount of hours of work in there. And the way he controls the crowd is just unique. That's why he's one of the best.
David: "You guys gotta come closer"
Camera Guy .. zooms into David's soul
Super smooth version of the "Ambitious card" routine. Very nice to watch such a pro do it.
+Merugu Vikram Reddy I am well aware of the different methods he is using to preform this routine. But the routine is still the same as I said a year ago. Magicans always do their own variation on this routine. The ambitious card trick is still just a broad way of saying "I'm going to trick you with the same trick over and over and over again".
And pls, everyone, stop talking about names of moves and so on. The less people know, the better the performance.
It's funny when he says "now you know what I'm doing" lol
But we don't ...
but you do, its literally the first thing they teach you in every magician book.
Not everyone reads magician handbooks. I understand what your saying, it's a very basic trick. However, still enjoy the performance regardless of knowing how it's done.
TheCheekyBastard I left my book in my high school locker 15 years ago, please explain...
Alex Jones can you teach me how to do it please?
i love how he had to signal the camera guy to shoot his mouth, haha rookie
Magic for the Blind yup
No actually he was following David's orders and staying in tight, so you are the rookie.
tough crowd... their not showing him the respect he deserves
The power of double lift and slow talking
Tough crowd? They looked pretty astonished to me.
That girl's reactions are priceless. Blaine is great as always!
do you even know how to film? there's no trick in David's face. your angle is on the wrong direction.
He has a beautiful double lift and bottom steal.
exactly
no one cares
Almost worse than the keyboard warriors who journey TH-cam to blast apart tricks are the ones who have heard and/or Google'd a few terms and believe they are experts in the vernacular.
Chacho Garsha u trynna sound like u know all the magic duh?
No, really?
This is one of my favorites. Ambitious card.
Ambitious card is one of my all time favorites.
At 1:15 when he bends the 4 of diamonds, he cuts the deck and carries the bent card over with his right hand, he then uses his thumb to make it look like the bent card was still in his left hand but really it is still in his right, he then puts the bent card(the 4 of diamonds) back on the top of the deck and reveals it.
sorry, not how it's done ;)
Marc Pelletier are you stupid or are you stupid
at 00:29, he cut the deck with his left hand, but placed the signature (4) as the 2nd card in the deck. u can see the slight black line between the top card and the cards below when he pushed it in.
then he flips 2 cards to reveal it.

Solid ambitious card routine. Really impressive.
Best ambitious card routine ever
I think Daryls one is the best, but I haven't seen all ACR on youtube
+FizykaGier Which one is better then ?
+FizykaGier Which one is better then ?
For example Daryl's, even mine's better..
@@Cliffvissers Tommy Wonder too
I could watch this trick over and over. So smooth.
part4, at 1:26, merge the cards into 1 deck, and press down the top crimped card with thumb and middle finger of left hand, while maintaining the crimped middle portion of the deck.
at the snap of the right hand, release the hold on left hand. and the top card crimps up.
the weight of the cards will rest down on the middle crimped card when the hold is released and its crimp disappears.
brilliant skills
Kajetan Bielecki
Oj chetnie bym zobaczyl jak to bys zaprezentowal innym ludziom.
Codziennie komuś pokazuję ACR. To naprawdę nie jest nic wielkiego
He's extremely good with his hands, watch closely and he makes the switch at 1:16 watch it multiple times
Daniel Hernandez But he placed the bent card in the middle and before he snapped the top card was still straight.
What switch? He just slides the bend card on top of the other half..
Is this man even allowed to play blackjack at a casino?
dvanaken89 no its apparently illegal for magicians to gamble in casinos
If anything he'd probably be getting paid by the casino to perform
Only the dealer gets to touch the deck as the player he would only be dealt cards
he is a master with cards one of....the best card magician i have ever seen
crimping a double lift and throwing the top bent card in the middle. I need to learn
"No, trust me get the whole thing!"
Yeah RIGHHHTTT :D
when he says "oh sh-t" then "all the way" you can tell he had just put the card in his mouth
It doesn't matter. Give credit where credits due.
This is AWESOME Happy new year :)
The last trick was MAGICAL
the trick is called: the ambitious card trick. very easy to learn
gdog_yaboi it is ACR it doesnt matter how he controls it.
Easy to learn impossible to master like David blaine
when he crimps the card he is showing you a pre crimped card in his left while the signed card is in his right hand. he splits the deck in half and makes it look like he is showing you the top half when it is really the bottom half.
most of it is easy apart from the last part where he has to control the card into his left hand and then use misdirection while he brings that card to his mouth.
Best ambitious card routine.
Even when he explains it he blows you're mind
The double lift is an amazing tool.
Absolute savage of a human being! What a great time to be alive
The second to last trick is super easy but complicated to perform..his card is second from the top..and first he just picks the first top card and shows that is not the main card..then he does the double lift puts the 2 cards face up on the pinkie break then bends both of the cards. the camera guy knew what David was gonna do 🤣
Great camera work!
hahah
Smooth handling of the ambitious card. I can't pull a double turnover like that so cleanly.
of course DB's take on the ambitious card routine is flawless
part 2, at 00:49, when he pushes the signature card out, he left one card above it from the deck he holds with his left hand, covering it and quickly turning it over. and pushes it back before turning it back. this is to prevent the audience from seeing its not the top card.
next casually put the top card into the deck and merge the deck, by now the top card is still the signed card.
when he said it's not the card, he was flipping 2 cards as usual. no cracking the card to show it's 1 card.
Does he move the red four to the bottom of the Right deck and try and slight it under when he setting up the card to be "pushed in"
or did he insert it as the second highest card in the left deck?
David needs his own TH-cam channel
He does the switch at 1:48 hes a master card trickster so its very hard to see, but the 4 ends up either on the top or the bottom of the deck in his left hand (right hand on screen), then you notice that hand when he tells her to "push it in" is going towards his face. then the next words he says.. "All the way" You can easily hear he has the card in his mouth. I'm honestly surprised I caught this one .
I want him to do a magic trick to Sheldon Cooper.
It's crazy how such a simple trick is still entertaining af.
This trick does not involve the camera... you think the camera is going to be concentrating onhis mouth?>
and its easy to tell, the actors weren't really laughing at the end, but while he was doing those amazing fast card switches, those reactions were real :p
that smile
seems like genuine happiness in making other people laugh. Nice to see since he's nearly emotionless lol
This is my favorite card trick.
if you watch alot of his videos, you'll realize how he did it. Still a great performance tho!
well played sir, well played
wtf am i doing here 1:31
I know the trick
thank god he didn't teach this
Agree. 👌
@magicrev i know but for the last trick, when the card went to his mouth...
David Blaine is so charming and awesome!
Does anyone know the name of the control he used for the last trick?
The audiencce is in on the trick like all telivised magic.
FUCKING DAVID BLANE IS THE BEST I FOLLOWED ALL THE WAY THROUGH WITH WHAT HE DID BUT HIS DOUBLE LIFTS ARE FLAWLESS
@TheMattAttack5 It looks more like the Woman in the back just bumps into the picture, rather than the whole wall moving.
@AngealeGibson
Lmao, that main girl in the blue checked shirt was baffled. Real funny :p
00:48. Dang, he does that smoothly.
Blew my mind.
Instructions unclear, I turned myself into a toad.
dude i love his routine
He bent 2 cards. You can see him holding down the top card until he’s ready
The whole trick is about 2 cards m8
@AyKay47 Lol yeh you see him put the card in his mouth but there's only camera trick involved. it simply doesn't focus on his face.
i wanna know how to do this soooo bad
That's good I see how it's done but I needed to take a second look
"Oh shit"
-David Blaine
Master of misdirection. The last part is so hard to do because everyone I've tried it on looks up.
i heard rumours that say after the show the cameraman got fired right away
the trick are so simple, but will be amazing trick if david blaine played it.
can somebody do a tutorial for this
@asasasasasas50 yes the card was already in his mouth, every one was to busy looking at the "chosen" card to be looking at his face, especially when he moves his hand forward and asks something of them.
ooooooo he does the ambitious card.
part5, as usual, at 1:48-1:49, the top card is being pushed into the deck on the right hand, but the real signature card is the 1st card in his left hand's deck. proceed to put card into mouth and subsequently sounding muffled.
trick explained. comments welcome.
Dude I watched that so many times in x0.25 didn't see how the hell any of that happened
@fourmgc1 Why do you whrite the same comments on each david blaine's video ?
1. you do a marlo tilt and put the card in (2nd position in the deck)
2. Double lift to show their card
3. put the "actual" first card in the deck
blah blah gets repetitive and i dun wanna get in trouble :P
but it's called the ambitious card routine you can search it up on youtube there should be tutorials
How's he do the first jump to the top?
i know how to do this and it is awsome to do
David blaine is amazing
@AyKay47 I've seen that trick live, the 'jumping' card trick. My friend showed it to me and I didn't believe him until he did it. But he wouldn't tell me how. I showed him this video and told him to make it appear in his mouth, but he couldn't.
@PublicNoiseAZ how did you learn it?
Yay! Blaine's back to his old tricks! =)
omg! i just figured out how to do the WHOLE thing :D lol
Korina Delatorre how do you do it?
just amazing
he's playing a trick on frodo!
Ambitious Card Trick
@magicrev how do you do it btw?..:))
Nice trick i will try it
@asasasasasas50 So did I. It's a classic of magic and I do it all the time. Any experienced magician will tell you that trick is possible in front of normal people, just requires misdirection, not actors.
ambitious card
he said he will teach this 1 at 1:32 and can u plz make the vid longer for we to see how its teached :/
