It's become something of a piano challenge these days, that was never my intention. But it's gone into that impossible piano range for some reason. It's very possible to play. Once you've got the arpeggios down it would be an easy piece to play.

The last petals had fallen from the tree, as I awoke my long dream as my tears filled my face up with sadness,
Then, the breeze once again passed my room as I lay awake in my bed, then I realised
The last leaf never fell, you never left, you were and are always there, no matter what
The last leaf never fell, but it did fall in my mind...The last leaf meant that you'd be gone by then...The last leaf meant, that you'd never return to me again, to the spot you always sit in. A position that I gave you, my number 1, my saviour and happiness! My misery lurked onto me, and my heart felt like it dropped too fast to the floor....
The last leaf, was just a dream, a terrible, horrible dream! One that can't be easily forgotten by the person who had dreamt of it!
But finally, the last leaf had fallen from the great tree I gazed at all the time, and I realised....
That I could never live without you...
After having a terrible nightmare of my best friends death, I listened to this! Funny thing is, it was Autumn every time a memory had popped up. But then I had awoken from that nightmare, and sat in my bed in fear and tears, as I looked out of my window to see the last leaf fall...And so, that is my long poem of a dream so vivid! So miserable and and, I don't know! I never wish for him to die...But whenever I dream of someone's death...It always ends up happening....

some time 2016 I heard this song, was a beginner in piano, attempted the first minute or so then gave up afterwards, fast forward 6 years have brushed up on my skills ready to take on the challenge, realised that the run at 2:37 was far easier than I had once expected, amazing song

I never thought I could learn this, I was so close to giving up. I was like, "this is *WAY* too advanced, it'll take a few more YEARS to learn something like this!" I'm completely self taught but with a lot of practice I was able to fully learn to about 0:40! :) Never lose hope and just keep practicing. It takes a lot of work but believe me, in the end, it's totally worth it

I am only 13 years old and i learned it so you can do it too. Dont give up i know it is hard but keep trying
iHeartKitty I find that when practising and playing piano or any other instrument for that matter that the best technique is to learn the rhythm and melody and remember it whilst playing. From there on its just putting your fingers in the right place at the right time
You don't have to make so difficult, it.only has 4 chords, so you can change the bass
Just don't give up. From a nutshell, it looks really hard, but when you look closer it's only 4 chord patterns repeated. :D
Found this song I believe 6 years ago, and still listen to it. Back then, I never believed I could EVER play something like this. Here I am today, practicing this same piece to perform for a concert (I bought the sheet music). Thank you Lucas for creating this beautiful work of art.

Your music is great even though it is sad. It makes you think of all those times you could have made a better decision but you didn't, it teaches you that maybe you are sad but you can't let it effect you and you just have to take it in your stride.

So do you record this separately and then tie it into synthesia? Or is the piano sound playing from synthesia itself?
I record it first, then I create 2 separate tracks, on one I keep just the left hand notes and the other just the right hand notes, I bounce it as MP3 and as a MIDI file. I put the MIDI file into synthesia and once I record it I sync the video with the MP3 =) The process of deleting left and right hand parts sometimes means I accidentally delete notes, I can hear a few in this where there shouldve been a note but its not overly noticeable.

Conor Baumann im a newbie at playing piano but i learned wedding dress by tae young? only in one night... i just got the chords on the left hand then my right hand just willingly press the exact notes... i like to listen to the song first multiple times so it would be way easier to keep up the tempo?? kinda thingy... nobody wanted to teach me so i taught myself

One year ago, I saw this and wanted to learn it badly man.. but it requires a lot of skills, so I couldn’t. I learned songs such as river flows in you, hymn to the sea, kiss the rain and many more and for once I decided to challenge myself and try this out one more time (a week ago) and now I can actually play half of it! I’m so happy seriously, such beautiful composing:)

just practice and do it slow until you are ready to do the whole thing...dont rush
start slow with your right hand, learn half the song slow. then learn the left hand half way through. do the same with the rest of the song. and then play it through 😊 youll get it
That's how I usually teach myself songs. But already the chords of the beginning were so tough so my motivation is always gone after trying... ':D
